Just received an email from gnrss (AGC) stating that he is not going to be able to continue the game due to other obligations.

He asked me to take over the AGC and sent his password.  At this point I have my hands full and would not want to take on another front so this is an inquiry to the players - who would want to play the AGC from here on ?   I suppose any interested person should be able to take over.

AGS Turn 18 complete and sent to Soviet SW. Despite having to fight 2 Soviet Fronts now after the seeming disintigration of AGC, we continue to hold our own against the Bolsheviks.

Note, that I used my once per year redo option this turn do to a muck up in moving forces unintentionaly. I suppose I could play AGC until we find a suitable replacement...although I'm not looking forward to it....as his supply lines look to be pretty compromised.

I told you to not knock him around so much, John. Now, where are we going to find a new patsy...errr...I mean brave new replacement for him?[:D]

One 'patsy', or is that brave new commander?! reporting for duty if required. I have AT v1.15 & gpw v5 & v6a. Are you playing v5? Am UK based so time difference may cause some delay, otherwise can usually turn around turns within 24 hours. Am I inheriting a shattered front? Would be good to get a sit rep from AGN & AGS before I dive in!
Yours

Oh man that would be great if you can join in. The sitrep is that AGC has all supply lines cut by partisans- fixing that is job one - and it may already be too late to fix it short of building new units in Poland to drive east and restore them. :(

Lars - can you send Ccr a pwd?

Ccr can you PM me your email?

The report from AGS is that things had been going very well so far. Lots of Soviet casualties, relatively few German ones and we had been steadly gaining territory. We currently hold a line roughly corresponding to Kursk, Kharkov, Dneiprovitsk and have just broken through into the Crimea.

The fly in the ointment came a couple of turns ago with the relative disintigration of AGC.... The Soviet Western Front Commander, being freed up to act, began mounting an offensive on my northern flank and deploying a large quantity of air assets to strike against my lead units. This has slowed my advance in the north, forcing me to turn and fight the Western Front Commanders attacks (which so far is going ok).

The situation for me at this point isn't bad at all. However, obviously fighting 2 Fronts at the same time is going to become problematic if it persists for any length of time. Which is why we are going to to need an able AGC commander to turn things around up there. Not sure all the details of AGC's situation, but from what I can see.... the main issue appears to be that he failed to properly secure and maintain his supply lines.

Note: I've no problem posting any of the above here.... as none of that info should come as much of a surprise to anyone....least of all our Soviet counterparts.

Many thanks out to the brave new commander of AGC for taking over. Have fun! It will be a challenge.

AGN turn 19 sent to the new AGC commander with the password that gnrss had earlier sent to me.

Good luck in a tough situation.   The positions in the AGN are almost as bad, sorry to say.  The Russian commander is very good and is pushing AGN around instead of the opposite...

Turn 19 to John in the Russian Center. Soviets recapture Staraya Russia, and continue to engage the German invaders at every opportunity.

Turn 20 to John. Winter is here, indeed. Not a good time to be a German in Russia.
