Not sure the best western front movies are better

Bridge over the River Kwai , Tora! Tora! Tora!, and Letters from Iwo Jima stack up pretty well.

Western front you got Saving Private Ryan , Stalingrad ( German version) , Das boat, Battle of the Buldge ( mainly for the Panzer Lied) , Bridge too far ..

Though their are certainly more decent ones in the west there are a lot of real BAD pacic movies , Pearl Harbour , Final count down , most John Wayne movies etc etc .

Just crankin off a few Hollywierd flicks I recall about WWII PTO. Oh, yeah The Duke is in many that I recall.

Torpedo Alley

Run Silent Run Deep

Away All Boats

The Sands of Iwo Jima (Saw it when I lived in Japan.. pretty funny watchin the Duke yelling Banzai as he went up Suribachi)

The Bridge over the River Qway (spelling??) (its Kwai)

30 Second over Tokyo

The FLying Leathernecks

Battle Cry

In Harms Way

They Were Expendable

Operation Pacific

Back to Batan

I Bombed Pearl Harbor (Japanese film, pretty good too for when it was made)

A Wing and a Prayer.

From the Halls of Montezuma

From Here to Eternity

From Hell to Eternity

Up Periscope

The Flying Tigers

PT 109

The Last 100 Miles (not sure of this title)

Heaven Knows Mr. Allison

Burma Road

Operation Burma

On the Wings of Eagles

The Fighting Sea Bees

Well that is all that comes to mind at the moment. Sure I could think if many more if I spent a few minutes.

Later,
KayBay

Since Kaybayray was kind enouch to basically list all of them, I'll just bold in the ones I find extremely good. (Hopefully I don't end up doing a shame walk...)

Hmm...mostly John Wayne movies...
