(Gary, I will see what I can notice.)

June 1, 1941 : In the Soviet Union we continue to push across the front, and notice the Red Army is far from defeated. The Red Air Force is very active, and attcks every turn. The Finns continue to pull back upon their supplies.

In Africa the Italians grind away at the British.

June 9, 1941 : The Soviets are very active in Russia, attacking us every chance they get, and defending skillfully. Where are they getting these units from. The KM reports conflict with the USN in the Atlantic and Med. We are very much at war.

The Italians make some progress.

June 16, 1941 : It is time for an overview. We are at war with the USSR, USA, GB and Iraq. We have the Italians as major ally, and various minor allies. Our navies are holding their own.

A situation map from Russia.

June 24, 1941 : We had an interesting discussion last night. Two Generals were present, but the Oberst was given a respectful hearing. The topic was "What if we were just starting the war against the USSR this month?" In the end all agreed we were better off having fought when we did, and we can thank Stalin for declaring war on us.

The situation in Africa.

From Central Asia, Caucasus, Zabaykal and Far East. I hope Soviets will start controffensive soon ;)

July 1, 1941 : The Red Army is very dangerous and we have had to pull back our deep advance troops as they are being surrounded and destroyed. There are Soviet and Polish partisans. We chose a mild policy with the Soviets, and a harsh one with the poles.

July 9, 1941 : The Italians are receiving new AFVs as they reach L2 armor.

Here a map of our fighting in Central Russia.

July 16, 1941 : Italy has run around the southern flank of the British and captured Cairo. This is huge! The Italians will now have a major supply base.

In Russia we have decided to try and conquer the Soviet Union. We have nearly reached Asia, and can turn north and south and take the fight to each of the important Soviet cities. The Oberst has heard that the high command simply feels it cannot allow any sort of power to reside in the East. The Americans and British must make their power felt at some point.

August 1, 1941 : We push ahead in Russia, but are carefully watching the weather which will have a big effect soon.

Here is a map of how Italy progresses.

August 9, 1941 : The amount of air the Soviets have is amazing. Where are they getting the production points. We must realize that we do not know the depths of their reserves.

Here is more from the Med.

August 16, 1941 : The Italians have captured Alexandria, and cut the Suez canal. The British and Americans wil now have to deal with having only Gibraltar as a base in the Med. Iraq has been in a state of war with the Axis for a while, and we may have to take that country.

A map of some of our activity in Russia.

August 24, 1941 : September is a week away. The Oberst says we have upgraded our defense in the West, but everyone wonders when the USA and Britain will strike at the continent. Our navy is in good repair, and, along with the RM has been beating up on the USN and RN. The allies may have to rebuild their fleets before assaulting us.

More on the campaign in central Russia.

September 1, 1941 : The war is two years old.

The Soviets continue to harass us at every opportunity. They know we are low on supplies and hurry units to the attack. They go for multiple unit attacks, and they are effective.

September 9, 1941 : Everything seems slow now, but we know it only gets slower as winter approaches. The Red Army seems to be everywhere and their air force attacks multiple times each turn, as does the Western Allies.

The Italians have moved their fleet to the Red Sea on the way to the Atlantic.

September 24, 1941 : The fall of Orsk is the culmination of our most difficult campaign. If the Soviets had realized how much we wanted this they would have put more defenders there. This supply base will allow us to drive deep into their gut.

October 1, 1941 : The Axis has eleven battleships, many cruisers, and 43 submarines in the North Atlantic. Great Britain had two U-boat events again. There cannot be a lot getting through.

The Italians have a lot of troops on the border with Saudi Arabia, and are nearly to the Iraqi border.

And in Russia :

October 9, 1941 : The weather is atrocious. There are a lot of Soviets about, but they are all weak. We have knocked out over 2,500 SP which must equate to at least 18,000 PP. It is the 102nd "week" of the war, which means the Soviets must have averaged 200 to 300 PP per week. If it had not been for our attrition we would be finished. We attack every turn and destroy SP, but they keep coming back.

Italy has attacked Saudi Arabia.

October 16, 1941 : The Italians are sprinting through Saudi Arabia and Iraq while the East front is a sea of mud.
