Is it possible to have various 'skins' (ie. clean, dusty, rusty etc.) randomly applied when units are placed during setup? BTW I'm very impressed and look forward to Ostfront!

Al

not in this release, the model skins are set per model. however, JSGME works very nicely to manage this kind of thing and works with PCO just fine. And makes it pretty quick and easy to incorporate different skins.

thanks,
Rick

There is a fully functional decal system which can do some of what you want, Rust, Dirt, tactical #s etc, per vehicle if desired. But they need to be designed per vehicle so that is up to the original skinner.

Here's one from the "Buying the Farm" scenario by Mad Russian. We're near the Komsomolets State Farm and one of our 45mm Anti-Tank Guns just took a flank shot at Panzer IVG that made it past our minefield.

Actually, Buying The Farm belongs to Mobius. I just helped him with it.

Good Hunting.

Kinda spoiled the surprise of the minefield for a potential German player.

Nice screenshot....you can see the round flying forward towards the target.

I too am hoping for the modding community to work their magic for dirty/rusted vehicles.

Michael D, I believe I still have some Tigers roaming those other battlefields with the large maroon red Hakenkreutz flag emblazoned on their rear deck. It is one of my favorites too. Thanks!!!

Yes the rounds are large enough to see. Wait until you are in TC view and one comes right at you.

I bet Spellir74 will have something to share with you as soon as PCO is released.

Thanks

Just because you know SOMETHINGS is there doesn't mean you know WHAT is there.

Not much question that whatever is there is trying to do damage to us.[:-]

Good Hunting.

Here we have our artillery scoring a direct hit on a Soviet tank and it's infantry escort.

Notice how the tank tracks are in front of the tank. Yes, tank tracks are generated as you play, and that the tank is sitting behind them? This tank advanced and didn't like what it saw. It was in the process of backing up when the 105mm artillery fire hit it directly.

The question mark above the tank means the Germans weren't sure what kind of tank it was. Now they don't need to worry.

Good Hunting.

Very nice attention to detail. As you add up the little details like this, you get a very impressive sum of the whole package.

Your snowy screen shot looks great, and....feels......very cold!
