Turn 35, 2/12/1942, Blizzard

The Soviets make a few attacks but we hold against most of them.

Turn 36, 2/19/1942, Blizzard

Except for a few local attacks the front is quiet. In the Crimea the Soviets finally break out, but we decided against intervention as long as the blizzard continues. The Soviet forces there are rather weak and a pocket should be possible come slightly better weather.

Turn 37, 2/26/1942, Blizzard

We still refuse to send anything to the Crimea while the Blizzard lasts.

Turn 38, 3/5/1942, Snow

We go on an immediate counterattack in the south. Rail capacity is stretched to the limit as we rail in reinforcements, some of them to the Crimea.

Turn 39, 3/12/1942, Snow

Offensive in the south all the way up to Voronezh. Unfortunately the Soviets withdraw back into the Crimea. We also have 2 Panzer armies and one infantry army in Germany waiting for rail capacity.

The objective now is simply to conquer as much territory as possible before mud.

Turn 40, 3/19/1942, Snow

Offensive continues. Should be able to pocket a few units.

Turn 41, 3/26/1941, Snow

Lack of rail capacity prevents any sort of serious offensive before summer.

Yeah, the axis doesn't get a lot of rail capacity.  Considering each full pz div could take about 1/5 your rail capacity in 1 turn.  Wish there was a way axis players could choose to build up their rail capacity at the expense of course for something else...say vehicle or tank production.  I'd be happy to lose 10 tigers a year for some boost to my rail capacity as axis, since a decent proportion of tiger tanks will sit in the pools from what I can tell.  Which is a different issue IMO as well.

I think I railed out too many units. Better to have them sitting in cities not too far from the front.

Turn 42, 4/2/1942, Mud

Not much happening. I still have 2 armies to rail.

I don't have any experience with sending units back to Germany during the blizzard so I'm a little hazy on the benefits.  I would be curious to see the Commander's Report for your panzer and mobile divisions if you would be willing to do so.

1 no attrition or morale loss
2 they actually refit
3 their high CVs gives hope for things to come

Turn 43, 4/9/1942, Mud

Generals von Leeb and von Schwedler both KIA. Not much else happening. Hungary decides to send large reinforcements now that our rail lines are already jammed.

Turn 47, 5/7/1942

Spring is here, and we somewhat cautiously begin an offensive.

The Soviets counter-attack in a few locations, most notably taking two hexes near Leningrad.

We push forward but cannot exploit too much with the unstable weather.
