Some helpful locals also supplied cheese and wine to the long immobilized Char in the village despite it smashing one of their buildings. This gave the crew some inspiration and the tank is fixed. Voila!

Actually, the truck was looking for infantry. I know there's still some left on that hill. Figured I'd get them to shoot to expose themselves to counterfire, or failing that kill them with op fire as they move to retake the VHs. Didn't quite work out :rolleyes:

My last little R-35 which was supposed to take back the south is destroyed by a hidden airborne squad. The Panhard forces a MC squad to retreat. This MC squad has been the hero of your Southern forces. He forced some legionnaires to retreat at the middle of the battle and even now late in the battle, the squad has terminated a 60mm.

I hope your 88mm on the road stays suppressed.

That MC squad has been stuck in a cornfield turn 1-20 or so. That's why they're still around.

How about Italy vs GB?
Say, summer of 42, before they start fielding German and US equipment.
Something a little bigger than this battle, 4-5000 points or something.

the ATcrew near the hill return to their gun and take out the nearest two Chars, the last Panzertakes are of some infantry and a mortar.
Paratroopers are still busy killing legionnaires...

An 88mm shell takes care of my Char on top of the hill, destroying all its weapons. Now I'm left with 1 immobilized Char in the middle and one very suppressed one near the village.

I take potshots at your last Mark IV but manage to miss every single shot. The French are once again in a precarious position. Down south the Panhard retreats before it can be assaulted by the MC squad.

To the rear, paratroopers are cresting the hill. My Hotchkiss malfunctions; What great timing!!!:rolleyes:

It's a draw! lack of stuff still moving prevents me grabbing all the central VHs, also an out of time trying to reach the village.
Your retreating Panhard got very lucky BTW, ran straight over a Para squad I'd dispatched to deal with it, too fast to be assaulted.

Soo, the French aren't totally defeated yet. Guess I should've brought all the 6000 something points I could start with instead of just 2500.

I just analyzed our battle and here are some conclusions:

Those paratroopers of yours rocked!! The French give them each a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon in the cease fire and give them a toast in respect for their bravery and their combat proficiency.

Think what would've happened when that third platoon had mate its jump. They were scheduled to land in the woods in the north, just on your side of the VHs.

Those Chars didn't do badly either, that is, until I checked their armor and my penetration values. That's when i called in the 88s
