I managed to make front more-less straight line. It makes me feel a bit more safe.

Both sides are strong. What I find encouraging is high number of AFV. I need to focus on preserving them and '42 can be good.

First turn of blizzard.

I have to confess, in both my current 1.05 games I employ same tactics - running as fast as is possible.


German army is very weak here, but I hope presence of Finnish army will discourage Encircled from major offensive actions in that area. Minor are welcome, because it will weaken him elsewhere.

My main goal is to be in position, that will always leave my forces way out.

Soviet units near Voronez look particularly dangerous, considering the fact that 6th army is really spread out and do not have support of any mountain units. Not all approaches are covered and if any stack is pushed in not favourable direction it can cause serious trouble that will cause ripples across whole front.

I plan to use my super units to reopen escape corridors if my units get half-trapped.

T26 north

New turn, same tactics.

I have to be especially careful near Bryansk and Orel. Another important issue is withdrawal of panzer formations into safe locations.

I am so weak near Kursk, that I do not even pretend that I am going to hold any positions.

Different story in the south, where my mountain formations fight something more than attrition.

T27 north


Previous turn: 7 Soviet attacks - 6 retreats, 1 hold (I do not count battles involving Fins)


Speed of my retreat increased and it worries me.
