Ok I'm in a pickle here, anyone know where I can host my mod? I am trying to upload to Game Front and it just isn't working, it's a 70MB plus file so this forum can't host it.

Mediafire are pretty good.

P.S. If I extract files to distan Worlds, will BSG mod be installed in Custom folder and will I still be able to change between themes as usual?

Yep, the mod will be selectable in the Theme menu. There are 2 sound files extracted to the main sound files that will replace the hyper jump sounds but you can extract to there and click no to overwrite if you are some kind of Distant Worlds purist!
I think the BSG hyper jump sounds are fantastic in game and use them all the time.

I'm having problems with this mod now (as well as with Igard's). Obviously it's someting on my end.

I installed it as you instructed and when I change the theme I get BSG music in the menu. But when I want to choose a race I still get old DW races. When I start the game I have DW races and ships and BSG music playing. Weird.

In the BSG mod all vanilla races are left included in case you wish to use them in game. The humans however are changed, having a race picture like the one in my Avatar here and there should be 2 more races included in the list of races to choose, Cylon and Guardians.
Do you not see these extra races?

If not then it would be easier and faster for me to talk through with you over some communication software, even text chat to try and resolve your issue than to solve it here. Do you use any such software I can communicate to you with?

First thing I will say is go to your C:\Matrix Games\Distant Worlds\Customization\BSG folder (this will possibly look different depending on where you installed the game) and have a look at the contents. There should be 10 folders in that directory and each folder should contain files.
Also it's important that you check what version of Distant Worlds you are running. I assume you have the 2 Distant Worlds expansions, what version does it say your game is at in the Distant Worlds main menu?
