Notes:
Singapore - I have had two transport TF worth of supply from Palembang brought in to raise total to 62k. Forts are at 2 (64%). Limited sweeps to date. IMO, this will be a slow moving campaign and i want to keep my few fighters there until I get forts to level 3.

Manila - Supply is at 49k and forts are at 2 (10%). Right now I face sweeps by Zero and no bombers. I'm down to 29 P-40s on Luzon.

Overall, I think DivePac will go at a slow pace of conquest. I will soon have my 3 CVs together and Force Z at Sydney. The question will be how to use them to knock Des off his game or at least slow him down. Do they stay in the South Pacific and play hide and seek with KB or head around the southern part of Australia to try to find Mini-KB in the SRA?? It will not be until mid-January for the first mega-convoy of fuel and some planes arrive in Australia. Thankfully, I have some days to decide.

Yes and No.

Yes, if I don't try to go toe-to-toe with his 6 heavy CVs with my 3 CVs right now. I get the Yorktown the end of the month and she will need to join up with the other three. By the end of January, I "hope" to have all four together with their extra Marine fighter groups. If a clash happens, I need it to be at knife fighting range (less than 4 hexes) so even my old Devastators have a chance to carry torpedoes. I'm thinking about sending the 3 CVs over to the SRA to take on Mini-KB.

No, I will not be looking for a battle with a full KB at this time, but may look for it after I can get F4F-4s to replace Buffalo AND CV Hornet has joined up. Especially, after I get the Avengers on board. Again, away from Nell/Betty being within range along with extended range Zeros. Boldness is a possibility, not foolishness. [;)]

Since Mr Churchill works for me, he may get some orders he doesn't like. [:D]

Dec 21st: Kuching falls (Des notes in PM that Air HQs included in invasion TF lose their parent unit and cannot supply torpedoes and he is the second player to note this as my prior Japanese opponent, Seille, in a Scenario 2 has PM me about this same issue), Mini-KB is found, Wake's days are numbered.

Meanwhile, the 7th BG is leaving San Fran for Pearl. It will take a few days for the fragments to get there. Then after a brief stop over at Pago Pago they will head to Australia. Time for some hit and run attacks. [;)]

Pearl - 7 fleet subs leaving for patrol zones south of Truk (there are 4 already north). Argonaut, Narwhal, Nautilus, Cachalot, and Cuttlefish load up with Mk 10 mines to head for Truk. I'll see if he is a lazy Japanese player and has not moved any DMS to Truk to deal with this issue in the South Pacific. I know I've been lax in this before. [:D]

SRA - with Mini-KB headed east towards Truk, I've formed a TF at Perth with some transport to go back for round two of fuel. Hopefully, at Oosthaven. There are warships just sitting at Manado. After a brief visit at Soerabaja, I might send in Houston and the Dutch Navy.

He is positive that this time it has/is developed into septicaemia, and He as ordered an Ambulance to take me strait to Dunedin Hospital. So I'm afraid that I will have to resign from our PBEM game, which I hope will let you have your game with Michael Solli.


I am very sorry that it has come to this, but as you must realize it was always a possibility with my condition. I am a very scared old man this morning I must tell you, but it could always be worse. So I have to thank you Michael, for being a very understanding opponent. I wish you luck in your game against Mike, and the password for our PBEM game was zeke41a6.
