Mike, you built very many 280mm Siege Mortar, 203mm Howitzer - why? (used only fort 3 maybe 2 - have start guns). Built more other gun and rifle sguad more effective. 85 mm AAG built 1673 - do you used this for 41a AT Art Reg?

Saper, regarding 280mm I just was thinking to dismiss some of them but now they are already experienced. I catch you point, yes they are quit expensive and ineffective in defensive war. I was wrong to build them. Regarding 85mm - yes, for 41a AT. Regarding 203mm - whats wrong with them? I like it.
Now I'm thinking to reorganize army to 122mm standard + 80/120mm mortars + 203mm, what do you think? What is your basic support structure of ordinary army?

I prefer guns with low build cost and more rate of fire (152mm, 152 mm GH, 122 A19). 203mm need very many ammo - you was Low MP in Army units where 203 mm have. If you have more Machine Gun in divisions no more 203 mm in HG - the Germany losses will more heavy. I use 6 280 mm and 6 203mm only assaul Fort 3 (place in Lock M.D.)

T26 north (German) 2nd turn of blizzard, Dec '41
I dare to post few more maps, because I feel Mike's report is not detailed enough to understand developments of the situation during next few turns.
North is stripped of panzers and best formations so there is no chance for holding ground. My only concern is not loosing units. I hope spring will come before Red Army reaches river Daugava.
7th Fliger Division is sent on suicide mission - it withdraws in 2 turns. I hope Mike takes the bait and tries to pocket it.

T26 centre (German)
My priority for blizzard operations was to hold the centre and and keep the front-line as close to Moscow as possible. High density of troops plus 2 mountain divisions were considered enough guarantee of holding to Vyazma and Bryansk.
It turned out, that Mike assembled here his best troops too. I was really terrified when I saw stacks 20 CV strong plus 2 tank divisions. Wow.
My nerves were further tested by failed deliberate attack on one of them. Surprisingly following hasty attack by same unit was successful.
I did not plan to use mountain divisions to strengthen defensive line, they will be used as a counter-attacking force enabling me extraction of endangered units. I will try to keep them in close distance to each other, to increase their impact and assure their safety.

T26 centre/south (German)
I am very weak here and in few turns time there won't be any mobile units left here to patch up the line, so only option is running west as fast as is possible.

T26 south (German)
Romanian mountain troops will be moved further south a bit more, panzers will launch counter-attacks from Stalino region urban areas. I hope it will be enough to get me through December and January. This is second crucial location for me and I will fight to hold it.

T26 production (German)
Manpower and armament reserves look good. Since T1 majority of artillery is set to 50% TOE (I somehow forgotten to apply changes to rocket units), moreover during November I reduced max TOE of front-line infantry to 75% and only formations left in refit mode are mountain troops.
Obviously I won't be able to rebuild pre-blizzard strength of all my units, but at the moment it looks like it should be enough to recreate decent strike force. Obviously if I get overwhelmed and loose considerable amount of divisions it might not happen.

Doesn't look good. I don't think you be holding anything other then Minsk if your lucky.
Lol 750,000 in losses for GHC?
1st GHC major mistake was lowering toe to 75% 2nd thinking you can hold anything.
Do not counter attack RUN!!!
