Can one play a coop scenario with multiple (allied players) verses an AI bad guy?

I take it not :(

Is JC still being supported?

Yes you can, unfortunately there are not many coop scenario's. What I sometimes do is in the editor, split one side into 2 and divide the assets so you can coop :)

My scenario, Med Conflict, is set up with four sides (five if you count the civilians) and should work for a multiplayer/coop game. Understand that the dominant forces are the US surface groups and Soviet Union, but NATO forces and Libya do have some firepower.

If anyone ever plays it in this manner, I would love to hear the results.

Is there a list with missions that are suited for multiplayer? Would be nice if we could compile a list of multiplayer scenario's

Competitive 1 vs 1
- ..

Competitive 2 vs 2
- Med Conflict (community pack)
- ...

Cooperative
- Shamal (2 vs 1 AI)
- Med Conflict (2 vs 2) (community pack)
- ...

Or something like that

Hey Baloogan, could you please explain (if you haven't yet) why there is no real-time multiplayer available for the game? (I mean like one player plays one faction, the other player the other faction)

Yowzer! I've just read through this thread again - Geoscape looks fantastic (as does Joint Command, but I'd heard of that already)! I also didn't know Baloogan Campaign existed as a single-player campaign mod. Going to try that out when I get a chance in a couple of weeks! (Geoscape can wait until I feel competent enough to play with/against others...)

When it says "You set up a Geoscape game by importing 100s of Command scenarios..." does that mean that the campaign creator has to make hundreds of Command scenarios for it to read? I thought the conflicts were auto-generated based on the positions of each side's units?

Edit:
Aww, just realised Baloogan Campaign isn't available for public download.

This thread is a testament to why MP is not an official release from the devs. Not enough people interested in it. Some day as the priority list shrinks and the big ticket value/labor ratio items are done, may be we'll see MP. But I don't see the pull from the market.

Maybe some day the DoD will pay for it as an umpired training tool, but we won't see it for a while.

I do not have an opinion one way or the other on MP. Too new to even try playing another human. But here are my two cents based on years working with consumer research testing.

If you combine the two responses for MP it comes in a 4% which puts MP in 7th place out of over > 60 possible responses.
Not too bad if you were 7th in the Masters out of 60 pros (i.e. top 10). The survey is heavily weighted toward the strike planner which does provided concrete direction for the developers. And there are others that are > than 4% that deserve attention ahead of MP for sure. But there are too many possible answers to get a good read on how to prioritize the top 10 responses. For that, you can run a "play off" poll which would drill down better at what players want. It may sound crazy, but by not randomizing the order of the list of sixty possible responses, which is probably too many to begin with, there is a built in bias. Note the higher numbers are at the top of the list. (I am assuming the list order was not presented randomized to each respondent.) Net-Net: MP is a warm topic, not "hot". But running a playoff poll, which is easy to do, would provide a more precise read on player preferences within the top ~10 features this poll identified.

We don't use this like you think we do. Its just a tool to gauge interest.

Thanks for your input though!

So looking forward to the MP options that might be in PRO the version. Wow. If implemented you would see ALOT more MP people around. Just think of the fun re. a coop game or even plain vanilla 1 vs.1.
