Yea thanks for the correction.

I actually got distracted by work while I was typing that......
Work and RL get in the way of a lot of important things! [:D]

Unless you have better plans up your sleeve, get all of the "cut off" Malaya Army to attack towards Johure Baru and put the rear of his attack into Singapore under threat.

At least it would drain some troops off the island.

Spend the PP to buy out both the Chinese and Dutch transport air groups to allow you to move troops around the SRA. Maybe even get some of the troops cut off from Singapore over to Sumatra.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the lack of communication lately. I´m absolutely swamped with RL stuff. To add to the workload the in laws showed up a full day earlier then we thought. And its Idas 2nd birthday on Sunday. Man..time does fly it seems. [X(]

Did I mention we just found out we have a small waterleak in our bathroom which has caused a lot of damage? Looks like I will be spending tomorrow getting rid of about 50 centimeters of concrete over 8 square meters...thats a lot of concrete and a lot of jack hammering. Ouff.

Anyway...I´ll get that update up eventually! [:D]

Hans, can you talk me through the process? Shouldn´t matter its an AI game as I tried in my sandbox (head to head) and never got it to work. It either stayed at Rangoon or flowed back into India for me! [&:]

I just hit April 1, 1942 in my game and have the AI stopped cold in lower Burma with the road still open.

I'll record the supply levels and draw settings of all the pertinent bases this weekend and provide the data for you.

Two Years Old! You are right about time flying by - it seems like just a few months ago we were congratulating you on Ida's birth.
I hope you are taking the time to play with her on the floor - kids will bond with you when you treat them as important people, and then listen to you much better when you must be a parent.

I can relate on the water leak issues - my lady friend had a new washroom put in her basement last year, and the drain pipes under the concrete floor appear to be leaking - stains and moisture coming through the concrete patch. I will hire someone to help with fixing it. [:(]

Hans, do you know the hotkey combination to show the supply flow numbers? I have not been able to find it but I know it
was mentioned on the forum a while ago. It is supposed to be for developers but is useful for players to know what is happening with their supply arrangements.

News to me BBfanboy. Would be helpful as I am certainly no master of supply flow.

Ouch! Once a neighbor had a water leak under the concrete. The plumbing company used some tech involving pressurizing the line with gas and putting microphones on the concrete to locate the actual leak. They only had to jack-hammer up a small area.

Yeah, but the problem here is that there has been a very small leak for a very long time. So the big problem isn´t the leak itself but rather the damage it has caused. The concrete has been damp for years and years ruining it. So it has to go. Luckily the bank allowed to add to our mortgage. I can do most of the work myself luckily and since I´m in the business I have lots of good connections. Some parts suck more then the other though! [:D]

Had hoped for better...next time? [:)]

------------------------
DEI
------------------------

I managed to sneak Houston/Boise into range of the Manado invasion. A very bleak allied performance followed...
Night Time Surface Combat, near Manado at 75,99, Range 12,000 Yards

Japanese Ships
CL Nagara, Shell hits 1
DD Yamakaze
DD Kawakaze
DD Umikaze
DD Suzukaze, Shell hits 1, on fire
DD Shiokaze

Allied Ships
CA Houston, Shell hits 1
CL Boise, Shell hits 2
DD Alden
DD Edsall
DD John D. Edwards
DD John D. Ford
DD Whipple
DD Peary
DD Pillsbury
DD Pope

The allied TF expands all its ammo hitting nothing and withdraws towards Balikpapan. Only positive things is we escaped safely!

Japanese bombers prevent fort expansion at Singers. Stuck at 1.15. [:(]

------------------------
CENTPAC
------------------------

Japanese land and capture Guam and Wake without opposition. Allied CV reach PH.

------------------------
SIGINT
------------------------

Japanese 33rd ID is on the move. Currently moving towards the Pescatores(?) outside Formosa. Not sure they are actually moving there or if its a feint. He could be using it as a staging point for Luzon though.

------------------------
China
------------------------

Still no clear indication on where Richard will push. All I can do is pull back into better terrain and try to keep reserves close enough to plug and incursions.

Yikes!

I've been doing some minor stuff in the house (tiling four rooms, finishing and adding some kitchen cabinets, painted the whole interior...) and mostly it just is not fun. [:D]

More DIY! Yuck.

You've had more than your share in the last few years. Hope this goes well. Maybe you can put one of those nice rainforest showers in while you're at it!

Haha, I actually enjoy it. Or most parts of it. Jack hammering concrete is not a part I enjoy though. Anyone who has done it can confirm its kind of the worst things you can do. Hope to get it all done over a weekend though as I could lend some serious machinery. Neighbors won´t like me though. [:'(]

Yeah, still 5 rooms left to do though. At least the money from the bank will see me though both bathrooms and the kitchen (hopefully). [:D]

Would love one of those showers. Not my decision though. To be honest no decisions are mine...the grand master big boss (Maria) will make all the decisions and I get to do the work. Aaah, marriage. [:D]

Still trying to get a grasp of Richards style.

------------------------
DEI
------------------------

Reinforcements are pouring into Mersing. Already 21 units listed there and more troops en route according to SIGINT. This is from last turn only.
2/56th Field Artillery Regiment is loaded on a Japanese xAK moving to Mersing.
3/56th Engineer Regiment is loaded on a Japanese xAK moving to Mersing.
1st Formosa Inf. Regiment is located at Pescadores(84,63).
3/56th Engineer Regiment is loaded on a Japanese CM moving to Mersing.
2/56th Engineer Regiment is loaded on a Kujira Cargo class xAKL moving to Mersing.
148th Infantry Regiment is loaded on a Japanese xAK moving to Mersing.
3/148th Infantry Regiment is loaded on a Yusen N Cargo class xAK moving to Mersing.
56th Engineer Regiment is loaded on a To'su Cargo class xAKL moving to Mersing.
113th Infantry Regiment is loaded on a Gozan Cargo class xAK moving to Mersing.

What could possibly be KB or parts of it was spotted in central SCS. What? Where is he going...[&:] I also have 2 big TFs moving for what can only be Palembang? Or straight for Java?

------------------------
China
------------------------

The first real attack vector is located. Looks like a push for Changsha!
Ground combat at 83,52 (near Changsha)

Japanese Bombardment attack

Attacking force 25697 troops, 224 guns, 8 vehicles, Assault Value = 757

Defending force 39840 troops, 197 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 926

Japanese ground losses:
12 casualties reported
Squads: 0 destroyed, 1 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled

Assaulting units:
3rd Division
13th Tank Regiment
40th Division

Defending units:
37th Chinese Corps
10th Chinese Corps
58th Chinese Corps
74th Chinese Corps

For the moment I feel fairly secure. He will need more troops I think. Then again in China you never know...I did send some reinforcements down to Changsha and I have 3 big Corps resting there.

In central China we are still scrambling to get into position. Looks like Richard is testing my defenses here. No major push identified but rather several smaller. Then again I can´t see whats behind the front line.

Nope, but my relationships are never like that. We just moved into a new place and the decision-making is pretty even. Some things I care more about, some things she cares more about. This whole "the woman's the boss of the house" thing is alien to me.

Palembang indeed. [X(]

------------------------
DEI
------------------------

A bit of bad luck here as I wasn´t expecting a push without the KB straight into PB. I have set all I have in range to try and hit the landing but I know from experience not much if anything will hit. But sadly I´m out of position to try any meaningful resistance.

Richard keeps hitting Singer from the air. He is stopping fort building completely. Only consolation is that he keeps losing 5-10 bombers per day to the heavy flak I managed to get in before he close the road off.

Hong Kong is slowly crumbling.
Ground combat at Hong Kong (77,61)

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 20706 troops, 252 guns, 181 vehicles, Assault Value = 537

Defending force 8096 troops, 131 guns, 72 vehicles, Assault Value = 213

Japanese engineers reduce fortifications to 2

Japanese adjusted assault: 259

Allied adjusted defense: 517

Japanese assault odds: 1 to 2 (fort level 2)

Combat modifiers
Defender: terrain(+), experience(-)
Attacker:

Japanese ground losses:
531 casualties reported
Squads: 3 destroyed, 52 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 21 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 9 disabled

Allied ground losses:
333 casualties reported
Squads: 5 destroyed, 33 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 10 disabled

An extremely rare event takes place in the SCS. Its so rare its barely a rumor. A US TT not only hit but also exploded. Can it be? Scientist are stunned! [X(]
Submarine attack near Muntok at 52,89

Japanese Ships
xAK Zyunyo Maru, Torpedo hits 1

Allied Ships
SS Seawolf

Japanese ground losses:
13 casualties reported
Squads: 0 destroyed, 1 disabled
Non Combat: 1 destroyed, 0 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled

She is later hit with 4 more TTs. None exploded of course!

CENTPAC/SOPAC

Landings at Nahuru and Kaiving.

China

Looks like we might have a big push against Changsha and southern China as loads of new units suddenly appear on the front lines!
