Yeah, I saw post one. The reason I ask is the file doesn't seem to be unzipping into the scenario file correctly.[:@] I'm going to try again with a new DL....GP

Andy, I took a look at the files in the DL. One file I believe is missing.
scn033.

I DL'd 3 times, unzipped into the Scenario file. I have the other ten, but the scn033 is missing.

Other scenario's I have DL'd have this file.

Let me know what you think....GP

You extract it into your SCEN folder. When you fire up WitP:AE and start a scenario, look for it in slot 33.

Strange, obviously I'm missing something. Copied it twice to the SCEN folder. I see the 10 files in the folder. Go to scenario selection and see nothing in slot 33. Hmmm

Does one copy all 10 files? I did. How do you I attach a screen shot on this site?
Thanks guys!

I think this is an error that Andy needs to know about.

The download package is indeed missing a file "scn033.cmt" which contains a text string with the title to be displayed in the scenario load list.

It's not hard to make up but I have attached one for you.

Just unzip and copy the attached file into the scen directory along with the other 10 files. Scenario 033 will then appear on the scenario list.

Best of luck,

For extra credit just unzip and copy the contents of the attached file into the SCEN directory along with the other 10 scenario files.

You will now have briefings for scen033 just like the other scenarios. The scenario brief has been populated with Andy's updates as posted in this thread.

Have fun.

For even more credit just unzip and copy the attached file into the game ART directory.

You will now have pictures to go with your scenario briefings. [:)]

You don't have to use these ones as you can substitute your own as long as they are bitmap files with the same names and are the same size (250x290 pixels).

Have fun.

You're welcome.

As this is basically a beta test of the new scenario, Andy assumed that the guys who downloaded it would know what they were doing and only published the data files rather than the full package.

Happy to fill in the gap.

looking forward to this as a noob ( a scenario that is conservative but also determined ai to kill me) maybe can you script it to be come agresive if the japs lost certain victory places?

Try the Iron Man scenarios if you want aggressive. [:D]
(Not really recommended for a noob).

The trouble with making the AI determined to recapture particular locations is that the AI isn't smart enough to recognise a hopeless cause and it will just repeatedly beat itself to death on the same rock rather than running away to fight another day. This is one of the behaviours Andy is trying to improve with this new scenario.

Since this is a test, this don't forget to give Andy feedback so he can improve the existing script and create more AI files.

Been keeping an eye out...

Have been using Andy's AI scenarios for years now, and playing as Allied the AI actually beat me once (Ahistorical Ironman scenario). I only made historically/politically plausible moves, maintained organizational chains, no gamey tactics, restricted myself with "house rules", etc. and the AI actually made a good fight of it!

Looking forward to this. :)
