When Field Marshal (German: Feldmarschall) is abbreviated with 'FM' in the German language, one does not use (.) between F and M

Sometimes the English language is used (AG South), sometimes German (Heeresgruppe Süd).
It should be unified.
And sure, I prefer the historical German original (Heeresgruppe Süd) - what an Immersion! [;)]

ObdH stands for 'Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres' I guess.
But then the short form is 'OBdH'

Not sure on this.
There is noting like a 'OberSoldat' in German language.
There is a military rank 'Obergefreiter', syn. Am. Privat E2.
Or maybe you thinking about an 'Übersoldat'?

At least one German decision (from memory, it was "Smooth the Way") refers to Heeresgruppe Zentrum, instead of Mitte.

I'll stick with the brothel as the German equivalent sounds a bit like a boarding house. Not quite the same.
