XXX Corps is now pouring into Nijmengen and the River Assault is called off for the time. I need the British Inf to catch up! I have a convoy running from Nijmengen to Grave!
Oosterbeek: only 1 order....Kill Germans, Hold Ground, and if you can....Live!!!:mad: Ammo is almost gone.
So far, after 19 turns, this battle has followed the history almost to the point that I wish Hawk and I could give the readers a complete movie play-back! This is one of my altime FUN battles!

Important News Update..........German Froces have spotted plumes of
"White Smoke" all around Nijmengen Bridge!!!!:eek:
My men dig their fox holes deeper and pray that the 3 Tank crews up in the North will get the Hell into their TANKS!!!:mad:

"Gallantry" you get one turn. But be advised that we will commence your destruction next round!!!!!
Nijmengen: We found the Poles!!!!
They landed between Arnhem and Nijmengen....we are dispacthing the proper number of troops to deal with them.......
Nijmengen Bridge: Is quiet but we hear alot of trucks pulling up....and men shouting.......

The Poles! We did not land between Arnhem and Nijmengen! We Landed south of the river at Oosterbeek 6 turns ago!

Oosterbeek: The Battle continues......We are shrinking the pocket around the remaining British Paras ever more!!!! But we are also paying a heavy Cost.....
Poles: Are putting a wrench into my Reinforcing of Nijmengen...
We are dealing with them right now!!!!
Nijmengen Bridge: The Allies are laying Smoke and pounding my side of the Bridge!!!!! We are prepared !!!!!!!!

"BUM RUSH" the bridge with infantry and Tanks....
and the results of this futile attempt is the large smoldering heap of burning Tanks and men in the middle of the Bridge....
Poles: Will be dealt with .........
Oosterbeek: The pocket continues to grow smaller!!!!! The Bren finally DIES!!!!! I Disptach a rider under White Flag...and ask for your Surrender. Your men will be treated very well....as well as your wounded.....it is pointless to die.....this way.........

My "BUM RUSH" Has taken out a Stug a MkIV and wounded a Panther guarding the north side of the Bridge. XXX Corps with the support of the American Airborne are only a couple hexes away from the north end...
Poles: Will be dealt with .........
