All I can really say is the team are very busy working on the new engine. Its a huge job but making steady progress. The gameplay is where all the effort is being focused right now to make sure the core systems all hold up. We've already been through a number of iterations to try and get the right feel.

I understand this is a huge task. Few months later, would it be possible to have some news at what Ageod is after? To test if the core systems hold up, I would bet for a PON 2 game. PON was so huge for the old engine in terms of performance. If PON 2 works well with Archon, all other next games will work fine I guess.
Cheers

I am sorry Iain. In fact, I am puzzled. I wonder if this is a secret or if you have not seen this post just because of holidays.
And, I am sorry once more. I should have started by this.
Wish you and the SAM team a happy new year !
SAM for Slitherine / Ageod / Matrix. [:)]

Those who want to try the AGEOD system should try Birth of America 1 or 2 on sale still (5th Jan) for about 5$
You will learn the consequences of harsh winter weather in US/Canada - as if this week in reality wasn't lesson enough!

Pocus has left some comments on the AGEOD forum to suggest this - unfortunately - won't be the case. I'd truely love to see a PoN2 capturing the core concepts in a new game engine but he suggested that the first game would be a more straightforward project.
Guess the logic is to learn how to keep the things AGEOD do so well but in the context of a totally different game engine
