Just to be clear house rules still apply they were put there for a reason, if players are unhappy with the house rules of a particular games then I would recommend they don't join that game. The suggestion made to change house rules when the game was 17 turns in with the disingenuous comment "Everyone will be happier" knowing that the Germans Italians and Japanese would be anything but happy. I suggest you desist from such dishonest posturing and just play the game.

Or we could as Bombur suggests do away with all house rules including the US neutrality rules.

Two points
1-USA neutrality rule isn´t a house rule, it was coded in the game
2-I agree with shouldn´t change the rules while we are still running the game
3-I think we, the western alliance, can win with the current rules. I have secret plan I´m going to send to my allies....

It would be unfair to drop a new player into the mess that the Soviets are in, so sadly I think this game died.
