I really enjoy watching this alternative WWII, it's a pity it will be over soon...[8|] But that insane resistance of units being in pockets for month really needs to be corrected by a patch. This problem has already been adressed many times at the forum.

Early November 1946 - Moscow Front

Moscow (City) is re-taken and the Waffen SS Special Forces are destroyed. Unless the Axis comes up with some more serious firepower, I think that this might have been their last major offensive (and a good one it was).

The Axis Powers do not really attempt much in the Cherepovets Pocket, which is fine by me. I can contain them with lighter forces and move on.

von Leeb heads towards Orel to help supply the Germans there as they are in a dangerous situation.

Early November 1946 - Southern Front

As I attack and squeeze pockets of the Axis, Bradley from America marches thru the Caucasus with 1 American Infantry corps, and 3 air units.

Early November 1946 France and the North Sea/Atlantic

The GrossDeutschland joins the Hindenburg in the middle of the Atlantic. Between them the have 9 kills, including 3 carriers.

The fight for Paris piles up the casualties on both sides, and the Germans add the 76th Heavy Tank Unit to secure the city.

Late November 1946 - Moscow/Southern Fronts

The Soviets liberate 6 more cities in 1 turn alone. I just push forward and hope my new air units arrive in time to knock out these isolated packs.

Late November 1946 - France

The Western Allies expand their offensive as they drive towards Belgium. Is this a feint to draw down the number of troops in Paris?

December 1946 - Russian Front

Like the tentacles of an octopus, the Russians push out in many directions. Another 6 locations are liberated.

December 1946 - France

Very little movement in the West as heavy snow sets in. I assume now Paris will hold, as the West seems to have lost all interest in liberating it.

Only a few turns left (we are almost in 1947). I wonder, in horror, what the Butcher's Bill is going to be.

Yes, 1947. Russia tries to reach the Swedish border, but am not hopeful. Otherwise I attack the pockets as usual.

On to Berlin! Or as far as we can get.

The trapped Italians and Hungarians are almost as far away from the Axis front lines as Paris is to Berlin. I'm not even going to go after them any more - they deserve to survive the war.

The Western Allies are attacking further North than towards Paris. Why? You have the airpower to level it (not that I want that - have been there several times and LOVE it!). Just take it would you and let's see if anything remarkable happens.

Early March - 1947

Western Allies drive North and take the Mons mine. Unfortunately, they get cut off immediately. What's worse, is that the Axis powers are bashing Allied lines near Paris, and they might break before long. Well that would suck.

Trying to get into Romania, specifically targeting Transylvania to kill the Vampire that is keeping all these troops alive millions of miles behind my lines.

April 1947 - France

Oh no! The Western Allied line before Paris is buckling. You're not going to tell me that we'll be driven into the sea this late!

Oh, by the way, that is the German BB Hindenburg strutting its stuff in the English Channel (or Manche if you are French - do not wish to offend here).

Because it is halfway between England and France, I have asked the populace of both sides to yell and say nasty things to it. Maybe then it will withdraw. Nothing else seems to work.

Late April 1947 - Moscow Front

Not much happening in Finland or Leningrad. Russia can't get to Sweden so that experiment cannot be tried.

Riga falls so Army Group North and a large portion of Army Group Center is cut-off from mainland Europe. Supply issues still hamper my efforts.
