We that is really annoying. Am I in charge of the Axis or what? Or what obviously because Italy has just declared war.... thanks [:@]
You have a point here. This would be a great decision event. Declare war on France or lose NM / MPPs / diplo values all around the world / etc. etc.

Yes, I like that. The more that Italy delay, the more they suffer from some sort of penalty (although only light penalty for a couple of months or so in order for it not to become a no-brainer).
The Allies can then choose to declare war, but there would be a BIG diplomatic hit with the US for doing this.

Everything is thrown at Paris - the entire Luftwaffe strength, most of the remaining panzers and all the infantry I could find - at the end of which 1st Army occupies the French capital.
The Italians, at Enzo Ferrari's insistence, occupy Monaco. They then stop. The Scuderia are airlifted to the principality to conduct testing of its latest Grand Prix cars.
Monza is not good enough for Enzo anymore?
While in Paris, you're letting Picasso keep painting, right?

Following! Loved your allied AAR and was hoping you'd do an Axis one, as I like to play the underdogs

Fiorano is currently undergoing repairs, so Monte Carlo provides a similarly slow track to test on. Plus the harbour is always full of nice shiny boats which impresses Il Duce.
I don't think the German High Command know that Picasso is in Paris. I'll have a word with Goering, he seems to know everything....

I've got to be honest, if the Axis start out as underdogs - which I think it is clear they do - then I've just made them even undererdogs what with losing half the Kriegsmarine, a late starting Yellow and then an incompetent execution of same.....[;)]

Well that is really annoying. Am I in charge of the Axis or what? Or what obviously because Italy has just declared war.... thanks [:@]
Anyway I am asked if I want to convert the Roma (currently building) to an aircraft carrier. I say no. 200MPP - even with the generous instalment plan offered - is just too much.
I agree, especially given how late this enters the war, and you get a BB anyway for no MPP. I usually go ahead with the German Graff Zeppelin CV, though.

I would like to have built the Graf Zeppelin (a nice bit of Chrome) but chose not to because:
- From what I've seen the Germans struggle with too low a unit count (they need all the MPP they can get to build land units)
- As per real life, by the time the carrier comes along, most of the fleet are gone. In this game I have lost too much of the navy as it is so she would be probably sailing around the Baltic on her own.
- Maybe if a) I had handled the navy better and/or b) I get more of an idea what the German position is later in the game I would have chosen a different option.

I don't usually do any actions with the German surface fleet until after France falls (except some convoy raiding with the Deutschland), then station most of it in Norway for convoy raiding the USSR shipments. Every MPP that doesn't get to the Soviets helps the Axis war effort in Russia.

Then there was a bit of border re-ordering malarchy Adolf Hitler stylee. Germany's friends from WWI made good their losses at the hands of the treacherous Romanians. However, I have a feeling that the Romanians will remain Axis friendly as they know the only way to reclaim what they've lost is to get into Adolf's good books......
