With that artwork, it is all pretty doable. Pretty esoteric flags, so I'll probably do them all on one set of files, and you'll need to stick them in the scenario file for each scenario in the graphics override folder. Give me bit.

I assume the scenarios involved will not also involve modern forces, so I may put the Persian flag over the modern Iranian flag, the Athens over Greece, Rome over Italy, old France over new France, etc., unless that's a problem. Depends on how many flags/roundels and how many custom slots.

Looking forward to a veritable cornucopia of ancient scenarios upcoming!

EDIT: Looks like 26 flags, and 20 custom slots. Could also put the six extra over smaller/less colonial/less warlike flags if you still have a need for modern French, British, Spanish flags. Send me a list if you're particular.

Some of these will make beautiful roundels.

I would prefer not to overwrite any existing flags - including your new ones. I thought there were enough blanks left for these (and, if I have to, I can probably expand the range as needed). The more the merrier as they say! That way there would only be one flag set for everything.

I was also wondering if the WWII Germany flag roundel might look better if it was scaled down just a bit to allow a bit of the red exterior to show?

Edit: I was just counting the extra roundel blanks, not the rectangular blanks. Seems there's far less of them.

That's what I mean, imited real estate. If you want to work on expanding flag slots, I'll continue working on flags.

That's what I mean, imited real estate. If you want to work on expanding flag slots, I'll continue working on flags.

Ancient Flags and Roundels.

As a placeholder, I just took the first 26 slots of the flag and roundel files. Should you succeed in increasing flag/roundel slots, they can be easily copied into the new files. In the meantime, they can be pasted into the scenario folder of any ancient scenario in the graphics override folder and used -- the word "ancient" just needs to removed from the filename.

ALSO UPDATED EXISTING (non-Ancient) FLAG/ROUNDEL FILES.

Touch ups, removed some artifacs, resized flag of Sri Lanka to game accurate proportions, and placed red around roundel for Nazi Germany.

Available to anyone, for any use. Additions remain:

1. Copied OVER the fake German army flag and roundel is the historically accurate flag of Germany from WWII.

Supurb! (I like the touch of humor there with the "pyramid" roundel for the Egyptians!). The German WWII flag seems better as well.

On this last version, it looks like the Persian rectangular flag disapeared with two Trojan flags instead. Roundels are good, though.

There is no flag template.
