I'm glad this fixes the issue with UPDATE4, I'm sorry it's my fault that the UPDATE4 didn't go as smooth for some of you as it should.

learning curve, you were as quick as anyone to fix it, that's all the matters, and never past it on and said it was someone else's fault etc

Finally, I have been able to install the beta files for the game and the editor, and everythin runs fine!

Ok Great, I'm assuming you first installed UPDATE4 and then installed the beta executables correct ?

Yes, I did. The beta executable work exactly as they are supposed to

. I'm still unable to use the "advisor" but I think it is my fault.

I have already updated one of my scenarios with the map text tool and it looks much nicer

Cool, to use the combat advisor, simply select a friendly unit and use middle mouse button on middle click on enemy hex in LOS.
