did you take the time to look if there is only one range in your aircrafts groups. From what i have understand, if planes go beyond they range, you would have a lot of turkeys.[;)]

First of all thank you for your question, it's a good one. Some of the aircraft units have
a mix of I-153's and I-16's and the range of the I-153's is 40 and the range of the I-16
is 59 so I've been dropping the range for the unit down to 40 to include the I-153's in
whatever furballs happen. A lot of the units have only a single aircraft type in them
which is a good thing. I've found some aircraft units that have some SB-2's and some
fighters which makes them built-in escorts. The IL-2 is a fighter-bomber and is pretty
good at ground support but in a pinch can be used as a fighter for short periods of time.
I've gone through all the aircraft units one at a time and adjusted the range for the
shortest range aircraft of the unit so as to avoid any turkeys.

Your opponent is not playing very aggressively. I can't believe he does not have Minsk and Riga at turn 6! [X(]

If I was to hazzard a guess I might say that he's taking his time.

It looks like this game is going to be abandoned too, sorry readers.
Brian has a health problem in that his right rotor cuff is torn so
holding his arm in a way to mouse around makes his arm tingle and
burn and he can't do it for long periods of time so I understand
how it must have not been much fun for him these past several turns.
We could keep this game going if anybody wants to take me on. I'm
the Soviets so you would be the Axis side. You'd have to PM
Brian for his password.
EDIT: I usually send my moves to Brian via email but I've posted
them here below in case somebody wants to continue this game.
At the very least you can watch the combat replay. My password
is "password" without the quotes.

Hey Larry. Do you know if anyone has tried playing this scenario PBEM++ with any success?
Edit: Had the same problem Brian has. It's really no fun at all.

I'm not aware of anybody playing
FITE2 completely to the end so far. Fogger was
doing an AAR about his game. There may be an ongoing game going on somewhere but I
really doubt that it's PBEM++. Brian and I have had so many problems with PBEM++ that
we've been sending files back and forth the old fashioned way. Although I just now
started a game of Operation Typhoon 1941 PBEM++. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry about your health problem. Take care of yourself and don't get burned out.
I've noticed that playing when it's not fun just burns me out.

I received turn 203 from Willie this evening. I will try and post some screen shots tomorrow night.I think Kristian and Soren may have gone a little further in one of their tests. I found a small error last night and emailed Kristian about it. His reply was
"That has been corrected - that I remember
Because it annoyed the hell out of me in our last game

"

Good thing they had enough foresight to give us the old pbem method as a backup in case anything went wonky. [;)]
