Do you mean cheat? I don't know. If someone monkeys with the script before posting the challenge if that would work or if the game wouldn't match as the scripts are different.

There's a post of all the US mobilization events in the War Room, might be useful to review them.

I can't say that it is impossible, but it would be very hard to cheat in PBEM++ by setting up an edited campaign that your opponent is unaware of. For example, the scripts, and even though they are separate text files for ease of editing, are actually baked into the campaign. This just means they are compiled when you save the campaign and the data extracted from them is then baked into the campaign file itself. So editing the scripts without recompiling them and having the data saved into the campaign will have no effect on the campaign.

If they are compiled and saved into the campaign then two opponents would have to have the same campaign on their end in order to play each other, and in this case your opponent would have to send you this customized campaign and you could then take a look to see what has been changed etc.

Hope this helps,
Hubert

Thanks Hubert & Taxman

Someone had mentioned in one of the threads that DE's could be changed. Although the conversation was about PBEM I think he/she was thinking of AI games. All this is way above my pay grade.

I have seen many statistical anomalies in the game but I've played quite a bit and that will happen over time.

Most games have some adjustment for people who just started I would think this one would.

New players aren't going to keep playing they just get battered.

Hopefully the more it hurts, the faster you learn.

Well, his bread and butter is having open game on the pbem server to ambush unsuspecting players. Having his win-loss record listed would screw up his system. [:D]

Are you honestly asking for a..kicking? Anytime, matches on either side, you may choose first, even in tourney.

May be unbelievable for you, but most of my opponents asked for a match. No open challenges.

Lots of scrubs on that list. Is that how you make a bonzai tree out of a win-loss record? [:D]

All well known players in the forum. But who's bullet912? You didn't even announce the tourney match to happen...

yeah exactly, some of them are well known for being bad (or very green) at it. [;)]

I offered myself as replacement adversary for bullet since Mika was locked in a game (page 3 of the tourney tread). The first post of that tread is usually pretty up to date with results and available players.

I did ask Sugar for a match and he gracefully kicked my butt (game ended last turn of 42 if I remember correctly with all objectives in Sugar vhands). Learned a lot, hope I can build on that.

On a separate topic I think paratroopers should have more damage when they land. I've had un escorted paratroopers attacked with lv 1 10 str French fighter 0 damage. Paratrooper land on a city with an army -1 damage. Also I'd like to see some variability in where they land.

come on man
