I agree with Chaos45 here. I am powerless to do pretty much anything when in "reality" the Russian did many times better than what you can do in the game..../..
You choosed as settings
* No Soviet +1 (for others I highly recommend Soviet +1)
* Full Blizzard
The designers were aware of the difficulties of russian army in this game during the early monthes of the game. That's why they gave a +1 to the reds.
You're going for a harsh summer against a good german player [:D]
