A more intensive yellow to match the dark blue background of this mod.
Not many differences from original silhouettes. A few icons are improved a bit (horsemen).
The main difference is color shade of this set.

This is just WOW! A whole new level in graphics for TOAW, thanks! A couple of Qs on the below pic with Opart 4 fonts.ini parameters (TextColor=0x00FF00- green- just to track easily on screen!)- I used Ardennes 44 scenario to test:

1) How to remove the grey background, tried everything but is this a global switch somewhere? The example is on a 2D Huge map, but issue is on all maps.
2) Shows behind terrain under M and A, hills- this is ONLY AN ISSUE ON 2D HUGE, others OK. I've renamed 3x *tiles_hills_overlay* files from TOAW IV\Graphics sub-directory as instructed but that hasn't helped.

Any help appreciated.

#1 In the Editor Text Contrast has been set to "Maximum". Recommend that you try "Standard" or "Highlight".

#2 That's a problem with the Hugh graphics overlay. Maybe it will be cleaned up in a future update.

Options->Text Contrast->Standard did the trick, thanks a mill! Also sorted out the graphics overlay issue (at least in this case).

What is your fix for the graphic overlay?

Sorry my answer a bit confusing, Didn't 'sort' it, it was just that changing to standard text contrast also got rid of the overlay problem, or the background now gone (letters only now) just didn't run into it so no conflict.

If the text was larger might well have remained a problem (actually just checked on Ardennes 44- up size from 14 to 20 and overlay problem comes back so not a solution for this I'm afraid).

Best.

There are a couple of posts with maps, not sure which one you are asking about. My post from Sat Jun 08, 2024 6:24 am is just the stock graphics which come with the game. All the other map graphics need to be downloaded from the associated web page. Which page and date are you looking at?

Sorry, but I’ve been using my own preferred graphics for so long that I’ve forgotten what the stock graphics set looks like.

The attached zip folder contains many of the custom graphic mods which I use. Suggest that in your Graphics Override folder you create an Arracourt 44 folder and place the contents of the zip folder inside. When you fire up Arracourt 44 the new graphics should appear. Keep what you like, trash what you don’t. I believe that one of the key features of TOAW is that we have quite a bit of latitude when customizing.

Note that there is a folder within the zip that contains an alternate set of unit counters. These were designed to be used with pre-NATO scenarios and are purely optional. The AAR Two Weeks In Normandy uses the alternate unit counters. Also note that these are just some of my personnel graphics and there are many more available for download. The “Best of both Worlds” graphics set is a wonderful collection of customized graphics which deserve attention. Suggest that you take a look and use in your games as desired. You can create a folder within Graphics Override for individual scenarios and build a custom set of graphics for each scenario.
