That is totally inaccurate and you should not post fiction. The real numbers are not known because no one knows how many are infected. [:D]

Seems virtually every government was more worried about looking bad than saving people. Some still are like Iran. But then you had the morons who were telling everyone it was panic mongering to say how bad it might get. Even on this forum. [:(]

Then there is Curtis Lemay, who probably has an online store selling stuff at price gouging rates.

Interesting who replies even without any names being mentioned. "Even on this forum" could have very well meant the cries about panic mongering. But hey, if you feel like you were slighted that's not my problem. Seems like you just can't let things go, again not my problem since I didn't reply to anything you had to say. This one is all on you.

Your problems with me started when I defended Bob's right to post his opinion. Somehow you can't stand it when someone defends a person you are attacking. Sucks to be you.

You're shooting the messengers here. Yes, some of us correctly found the good reliable sources but you can't blame the vast majority. They believed what they swallowed: the menu the mass media + the many pundits (even top political leaders) were serving. The menu = minimise the virus.
What I don't know is why they did this when the real thing was out there (a few clicks of your mouse on the internets): people literally dropping dead in the streets... overwhelmed emergency rooms, the Chinese quarantining circa 70 million people, building that huge hospital in 10 days [X(] The Russians quickly understood something really nasty was going on when they closed the border the 30 january (the traditional paranoia helped here no doubt). But the rest? A ridiculous state of denial fueled by the traditional media.
And this behaviour only started to change on what...? The first weeks of march? [;)] A whole month was wasted minimum.

Yes, fairly accurate. Trump saying the U.S. had it under control was nuts. The U.K. wanting to conquer it by herd immunity. Other crazy stuff.

You and Statler really have a problem don't you?
Ok, do you want to tell Leo Varadkar his official govt stats are wrong? Or shall I send him Bob's graphs? Since he is also a practicing doctor I'm sure he'll find them fascinating

Ah, so he knows how many are actually infected when no one else on the planet does. He needs to share how he tested 7.5 billion people so quickly.

No he doesn't, the figure is the official rate put out by the Irish govt for the impact in the Republic of Ireland. Like Statler, you are so keen to be right and shout down everyone, you forget the tedious step of reading what they are saying ... [;)]
I mean you do the big Irish thing in your avatar and you don't know the name of the current Taoiseach (ok to be fair he's current only in the role till a new coalition govt is formed)

LMFAO...surely you know of the Irish Rebellion in 1641? My ancestor was one of them. He was sent to Jamestown in 1652 where he was sold as an indentured servant. I suppose it could have gone differently. What about you? Any ancestors who fought in that particular rebellion?

A German spy sent to Ireland during World War II is instructed to meet an Irish spy named Murphy and confirm Murphy’s identity by saying, “The weather could change by Tuesday.”
After the German parachutes into Ireland, he sets off for town. Along the way, he asks a farmer where to find a man named Murphy.
“Well, sir, it all depends on which Murphy,” says the farmer. “We have Murphy the doctor, Murphy the postal carrier, Murphy the stonemason and Murphy the teacher. As a matter of fact, I, too, am Murphy, Murphy the farmer.”
The German gets an idea.
“The weather could change by Tuesday,” he says.
“Aye,” says the farmer, “you’ll be wanting Murphy the spy.”

could you explain the importance of what some ancestor of yours got up to 1641 has to do with Covid-19? I mean we are still waiting for Leroy to explain why he raised the issues of casualties in American Civil War battles in the original thread?
FWIW, its not impossible that someone on the English side of my family was putting the rebellion down while I'd suspect my Highland ancestors were nicking someone's cows (we did a lot of that).
edit: ah just realised, you don't know the difference between Scots and Irish Gaelic? A wee clue, we can't easily understand each other.
