I was saying that in previous patches pazners were useless, and finally there was an update.
But it looks like that they are overtuned now.

This are other battles on the road to Leningrad.
Panzers just destroy and most importantly route 50+ exp 50+ morale 85-90 TOE rifle divisions while not suffering any serious losses.

It is worth highlighting this battle.
Panzers across minor river into swamps.

As always my rifle division routes.
While panzer division losses only a couple of junky tanks. This is not the first fight in that place. As previously panzers routed another divisions in the exact same place. Via minor river into swamps.
I even thought that it was a lucky battle for them but no. They can do it all day long. Function by 100% like ak47 in a swamps.

Also it was surprise for me to see such commitment into direction of Valdai-Rzev. Especially motorized division.

In the Center cavalry was doing what it can do best: delay enemy and drain CPP. Unfortunately in the end one of the divisions shattered. First shatter for the cavalry if we exclude first 2-3 turns.

In the eastern Ukraine there were local counterattacks against ID regiments that Soviets won without a problem.

And there was an ID division. And for quite some time i was working on a process of getting guard divisions. So i could not miss this chance to attack it from different hexes. But because of this system were you need at least 8 wins to get guard status i had to make huge over commitment.
Just to get one more victory in the stats.

Another battle vs Axis allies across major river. Typical result - route. I wonder if they have enough equipment to replace all of this losses because of a routes.
But even if they do, will it change anything? Probably not. They route with 100% TOE, so they will do it with 50%. Or maybe at 50% TOE they will just shatter which will be the end of their sufferings?

Also pay attention to a hexes that i highlighted with an arrows. I moved units into swamps and while i was sure that Axis will be not able to push 3 RD from a swamp.
Cavalry was not in a best position. Were there any additional forces nearby? I don't know.

And to end this week (turn) it is worth mentioning that my goal for natural evacuation of t34 factories from Kharkiv was completed.

Axis forces decided to retreat for a better positions and probably to refit units for the upcoming winter.

We can see that Romanian division was unlucky to be locked in ZOC, thus left behind, a little bit far from other forces. Or maybe its a trap?
Anyway. We encircle this division and put some cavalry in front to prevent any liberation missions. Heavy mud should help with it.

I have hard time understanding what happened in this battle.
Attack across major river, except of 1 Rom division which was on our bank, against division with good morale + exp + good leader that is making rolls with /10 as it is assigned to a cav corps, which is assigned to an army with another good leader.

on t18 Romanian division was destroyed
any chance to get more wins for a Soviets for a guard status is taken with a maximum efficiency

i even used reserve status for the units in the back, but unfortunately they refused to join this party

worth mentioning that despite all of the battles and routes of the Axis mobile forces, overall quantity of ready panzers looks more than healthy
pretty upset seeing it

deployed brigades from reserves it will take some time to collect and convert them into SU with a help of Stavka with Zhukov
with ~1 win for 4 losses Stalin looks happy and is not trying to dismiss him
maybe it is time to use the greatest Soviet weapon, comrade Kulik himself, or to wait and bait Axis to make them think that they are winning before revealing this monster?

i got such weather forecast
if this continues then there will be no winter offensive as there will be no heavy snow and no penalties for an Axis


mostly there is snow/light snow on the ground
and Axis immediately launches attacks
some of them failed
some of them succeeded

i noticed that Axis GS is flying in a blizzard and is not suffering any additional ops losses
i decided to use my own air forces in return but they refused to fly seeing it was a last bit for me
at current patch air war is even more broken than before
even some of the older bugs are back again like
air transport is not taking additional ops losses in heavy rain/blizzard

Axis GS is also not suffering from ops losses in bad weather, while my planes are not flying GS
not only they are not flying GS they are not even intercepting enemy planes in Axis action phase

no recon/GA interceptions
you can recon/bomb whole enemy armies just fine
turn after turn

tactical bombers moved us back to semi broken arty patches
if tactical bombers survive a2a battles - they will make opposite side life miserable
especially for a guns, big arty guns

a2a battles are broken as well

1:10 trade is what i can hope for in a best case (except of using transport missions and make a2a battles there, but it is just a dirty hack which only shows that air war is broken)
but it is not uncommon to see 1:30

i asked Stephan to wait for a better times
and if they will not come in any reasonable timeline then i want to say that it was a pleasure to manage Red Army for me, who is playing as a Soviets for the first time, and also say thanks to a Stephan for a game
