October 9-11:
Although the action should be very heated - it is actually very calm... we are proceeding a lot faster than anticipated - our air strikes go in almost unopposed and our ground troops are making excellent progress.
At sea we are cleaning up the remaining MTBs... I have no ideas how many he has of those - but eventually he must be running low...

On the other side of the globe we are finally wearing down LRCAP over Palembang - making our bombing runs easier every day... obviously he has also realized that every squadron fighting here is missed 10 times more over Honshu...
So far he has been able to concentrate a critical mass of fighters over key targets preventing me of doing day bombing. This will change with the capture of Sapporo and Hakodate - both already lvl 9 AFs.. Asahikawa will be a lvl 9 within a few days with over 3000 engineers and 500 vehicles working on it soonish - this will be one of our main bases as it is completely safe from shore bombardment.

I should perhaps use this combat result above to mention the staggering difference between Commonwealth troops and US Troops when it comes to any sort of ground combat vs the Japanese. Not only is their artillery astonishingly inferior (always losing in bombardments in comparison to excellent results with the Long Toms) but also the infantry per see appears to perform worse. I am not an expert on the topic but I remain sceptical if the results should be this different.
still - with the addition of US troops it appears Palembang will be ours soon enough.
