I would like to give my sincere thanks to Petedalby for this incredible, action-packed campaign. There were moments during the game when I genuinely had no idea how I was going to stop his unstoppable panzers and relentless Japanese armies. More than once, the situation looked hopeless. And that is precisely what makes this game so special to me. No two campaigns are ever alike. Every match develops its own story, its own disasters, its own heroic moments, and its own impossible strategic dilemmas. The possibilities feel almost endless, and even after so many games, it still manages to create tension, surprise, and unforgettable moments. This campaign had everything: desperate defenses in India, savage fighting across Russia and China, massive naval operations in the Pacific, strategic bombing campaigns, daring amphibious invasions, and constant uncertainty about where the next decisive blow would fall.
A huge thank you as well to everyone who followed the campaign from beginning to end. Your comments, reactions, and encouragement made writing these reports even more enjoyable. I truly hope you enjoyed reading this war story as much as I enjoyed playing and narrating it. See you on the next battlefield.

Another excellent AAR Taifun! Thanks for the game and for the invaluable lessons.
I'm glad it wasn't entirely one-sided and hope to do better next time. Don't forget to claim the win for the ELO ladder.

Excellent AAR Taifun. I loved your descriptions of the battles and campaigns. You really made the war come alive with intense commentary, maps, and charts. And wow, what a sense of humor. I laughed out loud with your Operation Peperoni. Thank you for entertaining and educating us with an AAR that I hated to see end.
Thank you too Pete for taking on Taifun. I think the war was closer than it looked. Take away that devastating air drop behind Japanese lines and who knows, your dash for Delhi may have worked.

great AAR and valiant effort by Pete who has been improving so much.
Can you post the end date? I lost track of the years. Was it 44 or 45? I'm surprised Pete did not play on to claim the ELO bonus points. Yes, Axis would eventually lose but they were far from defeated when the game ended. They could easily fight on for a long time.

"Japan declares war on the United States and the Allies. Like a grandmaster executing an opening rehearsed a thousand times, Petedalby unleashes his offensive in flawless choreography. The elegance of the operation is so striking that I watch the replay three times in disbelief. One after another, every objective falls — with the exception of Singapore and Samoa."
Hi Taifun. You mentioned in one of your AAR posts that you were able to watch the combat results replay three times. How do you do that? For the life of me, I can't figure it out. Lots of times I miss something during the replay. Being able to replay the replay would be wonderful.

You can save all the turns directly to your computer. On my laptop, I use the Windows + Alt + R keys to record them. You can even replay them in slow motion if you want!

Hi Taifun, great AAR on the game against Pete. Looking at things you do play a lot different than I do which is interesting, so perhaps I need to revise some things? Umeu puts in a number of great points that I tend to agree with.. At this stage up to chapter 5 but a great game by both players. I do think Pete overcommitted to the ME and probably could of achieved same result with less units at a slower pace. I do agree with Umeu that the ME is crucial for an Axis win. Pete and I have had a number of games over the years and generally we have some excellent well fought battles. After playing ELO for a lot of years I still interesting enough haven't played you, so if you want a game please let me know. You write your description very well and assume you must do so turn by turn . A number of others have commented adding goods bits of perspective. Look forward to reading the rest. Well done

Thanks, HarrySmith!
Sorry, but I just started a new campaign with kjgokc2007… and my wife is already threatening to exile me to the couch if I begin another one. So, for the sake of domestic peace and the survival of my marriage, I’d better stick to one game at a time. I look forward to playing against you

Thanks Taifun,
I look forward to one day playing you. My wife has imposed the same rules on me.
