Andy:
Not trying to start a football war...mostly just an overdose of caffeine and an underdose of WitP wearing down by defenses.
As to my own predelictions, recently I have found that downing a fine single malt is the best - maybe the only - way to follow the travails of my own favorite team, the NY Giants....but with the new season coming up, hope (once again) springs eternal....

We may actually end up crashing this forum if this keeps up. You seen the list at the top?
Keeps getting thicker.
If it is not out by tomorrow at 300 PM then there is no way for me to get it before tuesday.
I'm going off to Santa Fe with the missus.
I'll check out the Bataan museum, and get a better pic for my thing.[;)]

A nice single malt such a Glen Fidych (sp?) would be fine but there is sometimes only some good ole Harrison County (deep E Texas) corn squeezins/white lightning will do...of course this is what it may do to ur head

Geez.... I've been lurking on this (and several other) game sites for years, and it took the EXCRUCIATING pain of this interminable wait to bring me out. I've been wargaming for 34 years and computer wargaming for as long as there's been home computers, but I've NEVER wanted a game to arrive as badly as I want this one.[:(]
BTW, Tasker ain't bad, but give me 16 year old Lagavulin anytime.[;)]

Yeah, can you imagine waiting so impatiently for a computer version of Tactics II?

Lagavulin is OK, not as peaty as Laphroaig, but still, may be drunk if the real thing is not available.[;)]

That brings back memories... I know this is off topic (but we're all going so nuts with the wait, so is just about everything else being posted[;)]) but Tactics II was one of my first wargames. It was the summer of '70 and I had my first 'real' summer job. I spent a goodly amount of what I made that summer (after a LOT of argument with my parents) on Avalon Hill games. I ordered several of them at once, and I still remember the thrill when they finally arrived. It was better than Christmas! And here I am at age 47 (gawd, where HAVE the years gone?!?) feeling just like that 13 year old kid again waiting for his games.[:D]

Gude:
Have a couple of years on you, but I was fortunate to have a dad who introduced me to wargaming, and I in turn, indoctrinated my own son into this arcane art.
Actually did some Friday night playtesting for SPI back in the early 70s...worked on Outdoor Survival France 40 and Origins of WWII (all Dunnigan titles published by AH),

Oh boy does this bring back some fond memories from maybe 73-74....my g/f of the day and I used to play
strip Outdoor Survival. Can't really remember the rules mods we made up, but I have to say (no offense intended) that the game was much better that way. Thanks for the memories!
