Agree with your comments about Wall Mart! Wargamers should support EBgames instead!

Kudos to Matrix Games and 2BY3 for distributing World At War at retailers. Being of the demographic which shuns online money transactions due to security, currency exchange and poor Canada Post delivery hassles, I am overjoyed when I can obtain a wargame at a local store. I would buy your entire title list if was available at my local Futureshop, Best Buy or EBgames. Any chance of past titles eventually going to retailers?

I just got an E-mail from EB telling me them have received the game. Too bad I bought it at Fry's on Wednesday[:D]

I'm getting this exact same thing from my Best Buy, about it not even being in the system.

Just for Matrix' info the game is impossible to buy at EB Games in Sweden (at least in stores in Stockholm). I have asked at two different occassions at two different EB stores since last monday, but neither has any record of the game, i.e. not in any form (released, coming, foetus state, etc.). Rather perplexing actually, but I did "monitor" the searches and they seemed correct in spelling and so forth. I have found it in two other stores though, but EB Games, well, seems to be EB Games...

The game has not been distributed in Europe. Matrix is currently negotiating distribution for Europe that will include retail distribution in many languages. We hope it will make it to Europe in a big way in several months.

Just picked it up at Fry's in Arlington TX. On sale until tomorrow (4/5) for $29! Plenty of copies available.

Months...Wow! that's just plain BAD! I mean it is not the QE2 that's scheduling for a visit, it is a lousy package which could either be distributed in English as an early version or in European languages as a later version. So when you refer to going through retail stores with this game, you really mean going through US/NA stores. That's quite myopic in my opinion (it's nowhere near being a humble one). You could have been clearer on this point earlier on, as I definitely got the impression that EU distribution would only lag NA by days/a week, due to Matrix having distribution centers in Europe. Big turn-off!

Sorry for the disappointment, but our plans have also had to change as negotiations for European release continued. We do have a distribution center in Europe, but only for our game on demand titles. For our retail release, we expected an earlier date but it now looks like it will be later. There are still some retail copies getting to Europe through the usual stores that import US releases. I would suggest checking with them or using the Download option which we provide with customers in areas that have not yet received boxed copies in mind. We will announce the European release details as soon as we have it finalized.

Don't feel bad, it's still haven't found it on the West Coast USA. I made a concentrated effort last week but i happened to be in three different stores this week and nothing. I am still waiting for my shipment from EB which got "delayed"[8|] This has never happened before which leads me to one conclusion: WAW is being regulated by the DEA[8D].

I ordered from the naval warfare web site on Friday and received my game today. They have great service.
