Not that this is a dieing dog....
Ron isn't in his happy place at the moment. We should all send him some positive vibes...

I remember an old wine commercial from the 70 & 80's - "we shall sell no wine before it's time". I know what HS & the others are going through as the data is the hardest thing to go through - I found that out in working on the CHS leaders - worked on it for 3 years & never finished it all & gave it over to Andrew & El Cid (RHS) to do with it what they may due to some health issues at the time.

You said you spent 10 hours on polish names - don't forget the Gregory Peck line in 12 o'clock high - those are his boys and he's more worried about them
than missions. As the overall commander all my usa pilots could be named smith - I am worried about available aircraft. The big picture is playabliity the historical detail can be filled in later.

Sir, got to disagree
I understand that the game is developed part-time, but and' true also thet and' three years that i wait for the game ( coming soon).
I don't want to be opening closests or bringing out dirty launry and other stuff like that, that is in the background, and is not and should not be out in the open, but got to say, it is not 3 years that the anousements were made about the game, and it is not 2 years that we have been working on it, as I said, I am not going to go into details on the background of the game or the background of how the game is/was coming togeather
How client of Matrix i am not happy, everythngs for attends him, second for the mystery that winds the everything...In my job i must give certain answers to my clients and not vague news or answered offensive as me and happened to receive in the forum when i asked news on the presumed date of exit of the game
I do not follow, I answer almost every question when I can, I think you will find that I answer more questions then almost anybody in my postion
I do not give vague answers or news, if I know the answer I tell what I know, if I don't know, I do try and say that I do not know
and I have never given out any type of date for when I expect the game to be released, I have said, that once David gives me the go ahead on saying something, I will be the first to start giving out ideas on the time/date
(now a statement like the 12th of Never, is not meant as a off reply, anyone who knows me or reads my posts, know what I am saying)

Hassle is, there are more reasons then just having planes to fly the missions, you burn though all of the pliots I give you, you are going to have trouble getting the mission done, now to each there own and what not, and if you don't want to mirco manage or even look at the pliot lists, that is fine, but you are still going to want to keep your real pilots alive, you don't, shame on you

With all these pilots being added to the game, are the pilots that us in the forum created going to make it into the game?

Hard Sarge:
What I mean as Air force commander / head staff officer(planning) you have to
monitor group moral and fatigue - the individual pilots are the concern of the squadron and group commanders. If a group is low on moral or high in fatigue they need a breather - deal them a 3 pass. If the moral is low due to horrific losses - then you have to build the confidence back with a few milk runs. That
is what I meant about not needing the know the individual pilots.

I have to say that Hard Sarge, Harley, and the all of the other members of the Matrix programming team are really reaching (and that is a good thing), what I mean they are trying to set a new, higher standard in "sim-ology", as it were.
To me, the progress is fantastic, I have yet to see a game filled with this much Historical Detail, (which is the basis of any Sim). Though I only have time to play BTR once in a while, I think it is an amazing WWII Sim, and all of the additions I see posted every day/week tells me this is worth the extra time taken to complete this project.
I have followed the progress here for about two years now, and though some say "Only Doctors have Patients" (or is it patience?), either way, I myself can wait. Time is an ally here, thanks to "Hard Sarge & Crew" their indulgence and hard work on this project...

yes, but you also have Group Exp also, new replacement pilots with in reason, are not going to be as good as the real pilots, now all pilots do have a chance to learn and gain, but a Real Ace is still going to be better then a standard replacement
plus as the war goes on, the level of the Axis pilots are going to start dropping

ahhh
I not sure where it was asked about, so will post it here
I corrected/changed/added the Bf 109G-5/AS
it is a little better fighter at higher alts then the standard G-6, uses the DB 605AS engine, while the G-6 uses the DB 605A engine
has no Pak upgrade, and will be in the upgrade path of the G-10
it will be a better pure fighter, better fighter at Alt, but will be weak vs Bombers

Did you replace the G-5 with the G-5/AS or did you add the G-5/AS as a second G-5 model?
BTW, the G-5/AS should be way better than the standard G-5/6/14 at high alt, the DB605AS has a full throttle height of 7.8 km (static) compared to 5.8 km (static) of the standard DB 605A.

I replaced the G-5 with the G-5/AS
and yes, it has improved high Alt Performance
by the time BTR begins, I do not see the G-5 as being a major performer, other then in the Hohen Units with the AS model

The G-5 was just a G-6 with pressurized cockpit so nothing special in performance (unless boosted by GM-1 in the G-5/U2). But the G-5/AS might need a tune in availability date. AFAIR the AS-enginewas available as late as spring 1944 while the G-5 appeared earlier.
Grrrr, I mad at you
roger and your correct, got my units messed up
109G-5 added, close to a 109G-6, with a little improvement at Higher Alt
G-5 upgrades to the G5/AS in Jan 44 (in real life,III/JG1,I/JG5 upgraded in "beginning" of 44)
G-5/AS better High Alt performance
HoHen Units changed to the G-5
Production changed, G-5 in production, G-5/AS set to begin in 44, DB605AS replaced in production with DB605A
as the G5's in stock, would of been upgraded to AS standard, I am not going to change the 44 campaign data, as the G5/AS would already be in production and the changes to old models already made
