With the Black sea now controled by germany, repairs are made on the resources in Kiev and Instanbul. I also move more bombers into Grozny to try and lay waste to all those factories in the Urals in the next few seasons.

side note: both my German and Italian para have achieved veteran status and if the Russians fail to reinforce their southern flank I may order an attack with them. Para now follow inf tech so with 7/7 inf my para are also 7/7 [8D] (they are restricted to 2 space move though regardless of the range of the bomber.)

With the RP repairs we reach 60 Victory Points and expect to go higher with the Japanese capture of Victoria later this turn and are closing in on a possible Strategic Victory. The 5 points for Moscow would go a long way to make this happen.

Japan summer 42

Japan wallows in its own crapulence with the assimilation of Austalia. extra transport capacity deployed off China now allows Japan to repair mayala RP's and with the Aussie Strategic points the Axis sit at 66 points going into the fall of 42.

US naval forces start to make their way back into the Pacific, with CAG and DD units assembled at Pearl again the sub screen is moved back towards Japan slightly.

Its taken Japan 15 months on the offensive to totally take over the SoPac and now she will focus on holding the Yanks at bay and increasing production. If the Wallies AI decides to send too much into attacking the Germans in Europe I might get the chance to move on their Indian holdings and even try and grab the 3 strat points in Chunking that would virtually seal a victory for my axis I think.

Germany fall 42

A fun turn for teh Germans. The wallies land in western Africa last turn and i decide to stay the course and continue to focus on Russia and let the wallies go play in the sand by themselves. The few subs left engage transports in the Altantic.

Again with the factory already destroyed, I think the AI made the right choice in bailing on Stalingrad. I'm going to use my para to attack east and pour as much as I can into Stalingrad.

My para is damaged in the Urals and I worry about the counter attack from Gorki next turn, but the Russian will need to readjust to guard the Urals or this thing is over!

I move arty and fighters in to ensure the combined arms attack bonus the Russians can now bring is nullified from Gorki next turn.

with 5 more inf and tac arriving and the armor repairs on the way I have hopes for an ultimate victory in Russia as I still have a 1 level tech advantage in inf, armor and fighters.

And to my excitement I tech armor up to 9/9 and a new model arrives, can you guess what tanks are rolling off the assembly lines in Berlin now? Check the next post to find out !

Japan fall 42

Japan plans on repairing more resources this turn and as the Wallies are still not ready for prime time I will redeply to try and pressure the Indian factories and possibly inland China if I can muster the forces required.

With the wallies hurting for RP's by being denied everything but bits of Africa and S.America they have been unable to do anything but reinforce Pearl. I think if I put the effort into it and take India and Chunking quick enough I will have a combined Strategic point value high enough to surpass the Auto Victory level in 2 or 3 turns.

this is what I was blockading against when the Japanese struck off teh west coast of Australia. Ships move double the distance from port to port if the path is clear of op-fire. The Japanese can quickly redeploy from Australia to the home islands if necessary.

Japan wont likey get to employ this feature often because its ports tend to be in range already but like combined arms its just as important to deny the enemy of it as it is to use it sometimes.

another technique that I find very useful is bomber resupply. here I swap the bombers from midway and the carolines, with the bomber from the carolines bringing supply to allow the air units to fly CAP this turn. No transports were hurt in the making of this screenshot [;)]

Germany winter 43

A fall counter attack in Stalingrad pushes German units back temporarily. A costly advance for the Russians.

At turn start I've got some tough decisions to make, The wallies are surfing the sand east in Africa and I could respond to that. I could fall back to avoid the winter attack by the Russians. I decide instead to force the issue in Russia! I'm getting close to breaking the Allies and forcing them to sue for peace so i cant let up.

I pound the rail to disrupt Stalingrad ( - 1 to defenders attack values if rail is damaged) and I soften up the arty. Most of air in the area is focused on Stalingrad and I make sure I hold a tac air for the main attack to get that precious +3 attack bonus.

My 4 veteran panzers lead the way and Russia is in trouble.

Germany finishes the turn using up all her stockpile of RP's. They are looking good though as I've managed to make the most of timely repair and production should stay at max next turn [8D]

Japan winter 43

Well, on normal setting I've handcuffed the wallies into almost a non-factor ( perhaps I know how to play this game [;)] ) and its allowed me to pretty much have my way in the Pacific. With several games under my belt already I should've played the Arsenal of Diplomacy scenario that gives the Allies a boost without adding combat modifiers or extra supply to take away options like bombing China's factories.

Now that the Japanese are flush in the SoPac I can put effort into finishing the Allies off early. I move into India easily because of the damaged state of the factories last turn it remained empty this turn. I also adjust for the expected sub strikes from the north next turn.
