I haven`t tested to see how it looks on bombers, but it might be better to have those bombers that have the machine guns facing backwards to turn their backs on the enemy fighter when responding with fire. It also makes sense because bombers should actually fly away form the fighter, not directly towards it.

I think that is a good idea

Unfortunately I think it`s hardcoded to land units only. I did a quick test and the portee trait just got ignored for the bombers.

Thank you, but everything I can find on the internet mentions that he was part of a reconnaissance unit during the Battle of Poland. For example:

As an air observer, Rudel flew on long-range reconnaissance missions over Poland.

I doubt he flew recon missions on a Stuka.

I`m asking because I`d like to update the vanilla DLC scenarios to be less historically inaccurate and more diverse in terms of units and transports. Apart from the big blunders (like the Italians inside Stalingrad, Romanians in Yugoslavia and so on), the general gameplay was pretty good so with relatively little work it can be made into a reasonably good campaign. It certainly won`t take years like the ambitious projects clearly do and it provides something playable while the bigger projects get underway. Personally I`d like to spend more time playing the game than working on it.

That is a pity considering that he made AT versions for all the 4 self-propelled artillery units that used this gun. Seems odd that the towed piece would not be able to conduct direct fire too.

@Karaganov I think the vanilla developers really screwed the defence values of the sIG 38(t) M (the Grille Ausf. K in reality):

It has 10 for ground defence and 10 for air defence which is comparable to the StuG IIIB, even though it is actually an open top vehicle, much like the sIG 33 II (Sf), Wespe and Hummel which have values in the range of 3-6. Even if you compare their chassis and tower armour I don`t see what justifies those high defence values on the Grille.

I gave mine 4 for ground defence and 5 for air defence.

I`ve assembled the Romanian Fi-156. The camouflage is wrong and the plane only entered service with Romania in 1942 and was actually used for liaison and not reconnaissance, but in lack of an IAR-38, what a hey, maybe you can find an use for it.

Volga flotilla had in its composition 20 gunboats (kanonenboot), 20 armored boats and 12 minesweepers.

River monitors fought on the Dnieper River, the Pripyat River, the Berezina River and the Danube River in the summer of 1941

Yep. Come to think of it, a new set of German aircraft would have been nice too. As I`ve said, I`m updating the DLC scenarios and after I`ve replaced the Italians attacking Stalingrad with Romanians I can`t help but notice the difference in size between the German He-111 and the Romanian He-111. Romania must have fed its Heinkels more than Germany I suppose.

Unfortunately, this is only a small piece of map. I suspect that the MP problem will not be solved in the near future. I think we can forget about it. So we are left with only the hot seat...
