Whoa - that' s a lot of scrap AFVs! I never even looked at the vehicles destroyed when I made the aces comment - I meant "aircraft destroyed" aces. No doubt there will be a lot of multi-aces in the "vehicle destroyed" category!

We have this new dementia screeing "tool" at work. It's not a trephining drill, it's a list of yes or no questions...about 10. We had a presentation by a health educator trained to administer the screening test and standardized cognitive assessment test.


For about half of the screening tool, a yes answer is deemed a normal variant. For eg., "Do you sometimes misplace your keys?"


For the other half, a yes answer is deemed potentially pathological and the subject is advised to take the entire cognitve screening test for dementia.

Here is one of the critical questions......."Have you ever started to tell a joke and then realized you already told it?" [X(][X(]

You do that once and next week you need a drool bib and adult diapers??? Santa Maria!



The complete test is quite carefully standardized for educational level, age......and...wait for it....sex. Yes, that's right. In some fashion, the grading is either easier for men or women [X(]


I assume it is standardized for the sex you were born with and not whether you are getting any or not. Anyway, it was a mixed audience (men and women) so I politely asked which sex had to have their scores standardized down. She looked at me quite annoyed and said she "couldn't break the key".

I took that to be admission that men are superior and reflexively snickered a bit. Oh man did she want to kill me. I could see it in her eyes. Thank God women aren't as violent either. [:)]
