Still no sign of the KB...could be sailing back to the pacific right now...it's help it's not needed anymore now that he has closed down Karachi and Malir is full of Japanese Bombers...so from now on we have to pay a LOT of attention using my fleet in the pacific...especially for what concerns operation SummerBird (the conquest of Marcus Isl.)...
Saratoga is finally safe at PH...however her damage is quite huge...50 sys[:(]...at least 6 months at full repair speed...[:@] damned subs!! We sunk yesterday the I-124 at Kwalajein however...it gives me such a good feeling to sink those damned hunters!Lady Lex has been upgraded, while my other 2 CVs are coming back to PH, along with my BB fleet. All of them need to be upgraded in April!...leaving in the Marshalls some 25 DDs and 6 CA/CLs...just in case, along with a consistent merchant fleet (40 AKs and 12 APs, plus some 10 MWSs, 10 PC/PGs and some other minor vassels)
Now you know how i feel exactly about your damned subs in our game Nico [;)]

What would i do now if i was him? That's the question i need to answer now.
Let's assume the KB is coming back to Singapore and then to the pacific.
Let's also assume that the Karachi siege will take him some time.
What to do with the KB?
His precious ships probably need an upgrade by now. And i'm also sure they would need few days in a level 10 port in order to R&R a bit.
But if he doesn't sit...what can he do? Where can he go?...having not enough troops to invade anywhere else he could go raiding my supply lines i the pacific...yes...that could be feaseble...between PH and the Marshalls i have tons of ships coming and going...yes, it would be risky for him...but anyway i gotta keep my eyes right open and do not assume that the central pacific is mine and impenetrable!
Watch out Hoepner! Your enemy is skilled and sneaky!

I think he is withdrawing into via Singapore in Luzon since I would estimate he is thinking about situation brewing in the Marshalls area. (Or that is what I would do)
Also if he feels his LBA can dominate the skies I doubt he will keep KB in Indian waters. It would not make much sense.
If this is CHS than I seriously doubt he will launch any major offensives until India/China is finished off. He simply don't have troops.
Personally I think Karachi will hold and he has made serious mistake by assaulting India in the longterm.

He probably could use a little fixing up for his carriers, but maybe he'll put that off until later. I agree, you must assume that he will try to rain on your parade. Maybe use full speed on troop and supply convoys to get as many LCU's, planes, and supplies as possible into place before he moves to cut off sea communications. He might try to rotate carriers for rest to keep the Marshalls isolated.
I don't know the IJ OOB very well. If he doesn't need to obey the rule about Soviet activation (
does he?), maybe he can spare a small number of divisions to try one island at a time. Anyway, anything he tries you must be ready the same way - fight a bloody attrition campaign for the Marshalls!
BTW, nice picture. Really makes you look like GENERAL Hoepner!

Do agree on the threat on my communication lines. However he cannot risk his CVs coming close to my bases in the Marshalls without any plan of a counter invasion. would be pointless for him to risk his KB without even a goal...he could raid somewhere between Johnston Island and Kwalajein...but my Catalinas at Wake shoud see him first...

He does obey to that rule (Soviets)! So he cannot spare anymore units from Manchukoku...he has already moved out to China everything he could i guess. My intel has spot several Manchuria Cav Divs garrisoning in china...so...no, i do not think he can do that. If the soviets get activated now he's simply toasted.
I think untill Karachi falls i'm quite safe from a counter invasion in the Marshalls. Now i'm sending more troops to Wake, just in case (it's too important for my strategical assets), but with forts building up fast and with all the planes that keep on arriving here i really do think it would be a bad mistake by him to try to come here...
It's more likely that he will simply fortify the Mariannas and the Bonins and wait for my further step. If that would happen i'll have to think of opening another front at Darwin-Timor area...but for the moment i'll stick on CENTPAC
thx! this picture is from last Easter[:'(]

SUB Warfare.
For what concerns my sub the situation is the following.
With the attack on Manila Harbour on day 1, we lost some 14 subs, plus 10 more that were sunk during these first 5 months of war.
Despite these heavy losses my subs are still operating very aggressively, even if the american ones do have the problems we all know (dude torps etc).
I have divided the map ideally in 4 sectors that will be controlled by 4 different groups of subs. Numbers and compositions of these 4 groups will be changed during the next months.
These are the sub bases:
1- Aden: here i have 13 subs (6 U.S., 1 Brit, and the rest ducth units), most of which are reparing. For the upcoming months these vessels will be used to evacuate cadres from Karachi and to mine and ambush the japanese indian ports.
2- Wake: my major sub base in centpac. from here start the subs that operate in the whole pacific theatre, up to Japan.
3- Darwin: here are arriving 10 subs from PH. these guys will operate in the SRA. i count to augment the importance of this base, adding more subs as soon as the american subs get upgraded.
4-Siska Isl.: still under construction. This base will be used to operate closer to Japanese coasts.

How long will Karachi hold ? Maybe now is the time to send a carrier or two after his battleships in india ?

Yes, for sure..but gonna be carefull...first i want to be sure the KB has gone away...i'm almost blind...will try to add more catalinas tomorrow moving them from Aden to Karachi......secondly remember that he has hundreds of Betties and Nells at Malir and Bombay...so i must pay some attention...but it's something i'll defenetly try if the chance arises[;)]

But if...if karachi holds...oh man!....If Karachi holds i really think he has lost the war. He will have to leave a lot of troops in India and above all a LOT of planes to keep Karachi AF closed.......what a scenario!!
But Trollelite has assured me that he has done this Indian gamble 4 more times in the past and everytime he has succesfully conquered Karachi...so i bet he knows what he's doing

Well, it is a matter of time. Karachi will eventually fall, so it's all a matter of how long it takes and what you are able to do with that time.

In 40 days some Chindits Bdes are starting to arrive at Karachi. 3 of them for a total on nearly 400 AVs in the next 60 days i think...if Karachi won't be destroyed by then they will be very usefull!
I Checked again my defences in the Marshalls...i really find them appropriate guys. I cannot think how he can attack me here...
Northern Oz is secure. Absolutely. Darwin is a fortress.
Perth too. Secured, fortified and well garrisoned.
...i really think after Luzon he will have to sit down and fortify...

Hmmm the RN got out in one piece didn't it and Seafires are not that far away.....
OK a few tips ignore them if you disagree
Turn off replacementsw for the forces in karachi it reduces supply expenditure.
I would send an MLE and a few USN subs to Aden to start mining of the approaches to Karachi.
Rebuild the RAF at Aden getting ready for the next stage.
Feint towards Karachi with Aden based cruisers and CV's but dont get caught all you want to do is keep his attention on India.
How long until 50th Indian Para arrives - if a long time transfer a USMC Para Bn or 4 to Aden by paying PP's this works from PH as well as west coast if you have paras he needs to garrison a lot of rear area bases because one active AF and a carrier looaded with RAF fighters to transfer them to an operational AF causes problems and may allow karachi to reopen.
I would be using subs to transfer IN supply and to bring in paratroopers remember flying boats dont need an AF and paras will be a real PITA.
Prepare an Australian Corps at Perth to attack Timor or India behind him if he makes a mistake perhaps a drive on Luzon to relieve the island.
Try to sneak in single AK TF's with supply if you can.
Use US AK's as they can spawn PT Boats to protect the harbour from bombardments
Bring up some of the old RN BB's to Aden they are expendible but those 15" guns and high xp ratings will ruin anyones day.

Now, you know better than this.
It's not that GH has skill, it's the game and Allied bias that will cause him to lose...

Already done Andy, thanks. Jim has suggested few weeks ago and i followed his wiseness.

Aden is level 9 port so do not need any MLE. Yes, i'll try to mine with my subs and evacuate cadres at the same time...

Yes, i'm rebuilding it at Aden, slowly obviously. I'm however keeping my fighters group (with 0 planes) at Karachi...just in case it doesn't fall...if his fleet stop bombing my AF i can try to reborn[:D]
My CVs are already on the way to give him some nuiances...[;)]

Good idea. Chindits should be paras in CHS...i guess.... but i'd keep my USMC para in the pacific...i'll need them!
I would be using subs to transfer IN supply and to bring in paratroopers remember flying boats dont need an AF and paras will be a real PITA.
What do u mean flying boats do not need an AF?...from Aden i cannot transfer by air anythig to Karachi cause it's simply too far away...
Prepare an Australian Corps at Perth to attack Timor or India behind him if he makes a mistake perhaps a drive on Luzon to relieve the island.
For Sure! I'm already planning it...however it will take some time... Anyway i'm already studyin a plan for a double attack on Cylon...both from Aden and from Oz...
Try to sneak in single AK TF's with supply if you can.

Another great idea...gotta see if i have any US AKs at Aden....thx Andy!
