Isn't it hard on your truck fleet to make a lot of attacks and movement in the mud?  I'll concede that by this time it probably doesn't really matter, but I'm curious if you are feeling any effects in your vehicle pool.

I think most trucks are lost resupplying troops. My rail net is pretty good. Also, I get 6000 trucks per week from land-lease. My troops get what they need. There are no shortages of any kind.

Offensive begins. Goal is to split German front in two. Kind of like a Kurland pocket but further west.

I forgot to take a screenshot at the beginning of my turn. Basically he cuts off my spearhead with probably 15 tank/mech units and displaces a couple of HQs. Nicely done! The Russians are too strong now for this to be more then a speed bump. The result is that 7 German divisions are firmly encircled.

By this time it looks like any attempt at a serious German counterattack is a suicide mission. That has to be extremely discouraging for Stef.

Agreed. Of course, after Bagration the Germans didn't have the slightest chance of winning the war or even getting some kind of a draw.

The German army is still surprisingly strong in this game with more then 4000 tanks and 3.3 million men. However, the Russians are in perfect supply and close to 100% TOE.
