The US people, tired of the long war, elected Dewey last November. FDR in secret talks, with the Swiss as intermediaries, reaches an agreement with the Chrysanthemun throne. Japan gets to keep the DEIs, Burma, Malasya and Singapore. The Philippines will be independent as planned, and the US is at peace.[X(]

Kudos on finishing a long running game. Win or lose, it's an accomplishment to play a game that has lasted over two years to its conclusion.
Any chance of getting some screenshots of final point totals and statistics? Even better, an analysis of the game from either or both players, especially what factors they think contributed the most to ultimate victory/defeat?

From the allied standpoint, the carrier and ship losses, early in the game were very important. Since I do not believe that a "Sir Robin" defense would be realistic, and also the US public would not tolerate a protracted defensive position by the USN, I sortied my carriers early, and without much success. As a result, my offensive, had to be up the Solomons and into NG, and from there to Truk.
By the time the carriers were available to attack the Marshalls and the Marianas, time was running out. The Marianas were not secured until October or November, and then I wasted time taking out Yap and Palau. I should have bypassed them and attacked Mindanao instead; that may have prolonged the battle.
