There was a recent "flap" (for lack of a better term) caused by a Democrat congressman from AZ who used him, and his GF as props in his argument against the state's immigration law.

The GF is some ex-Disney star of Latino background.

The congressman brought in pictures of both of them and asked which one looks like an immigrant. The gotcha line was that the GF is a legal American resident while Mr. Puppy Eyes is a Canadian citizen.

No political comments, just thought it was amusing.

Never heard of him.

Dio was an old metal rocker. He replaced Ozzie after he left Black Sabboth.

Me, my only real memory of him was the corny early 80's video of his "Sleeping with the Enemy" solo effort. The image of that dude running half naked like some tripped out Tarzan scarred me for life. [:D]

I've heard of Black Sabbath of course but I've never been much of a fan or the genre. Some friends did get me interested in Metallica way back when, but I mostly liked the melodic stuff (Orion, One, that sort of thing). No idea who the rest of these guys are.

Your not alone. I despised Heavy Metal as a kid. Unfortunately if you didn't embrace the mainstream, you were ostracized from cool teenage society. Thats ok. I went to the tune of my own drum (and the music sounded alot better and original too) [:D]

Maybe if I hadnt been surrounded by people who were fanatics in the real sense of the term I probably wouldnt have either. Now I think of them a pleasant memory from childhood. Still enjoy the older stuff though, pre Garage Days.
