One problem with giving my point of view is that even with the help of Terje's AAR, it's still hard to be objective, I think. I can see why generals have such a hard time writing their memoirs with fair minded accuracy several years later.
One other nasty effect of the AP crunch I forgot to mention was the drastic effect it had on my CC situation. All my APs were being spent on building units and CC got to be so bad due to shifting units all over the map to counter Terje's initiatives that Red Army combat effectiveness from CC was hideous at best.
Next time I'm the Russians, I hope to do somewhat better.

Has been a fascinating game and they've given an excellent post mortem.
Have made this a teaching thread for myself.

An excellent advert for the game and for the character of both players

Another very good AAR! Brad,very good going with sticking with it even after the writing was on the wall. Sorry now that my morning reading with coffee is interrupted until the next game. By the way,any idea yest what the next AAR will cover? Witp-AE perchance?

Thank you, but;
Sorry, I have given up on doing Witp:AE AARs. The first two years for the Allies is something like
February 7th 1942
Moved 1 Inf Brig from PH to Midway. Nothing more to report.

Yes, I sort of expected that to be an issue as time progressed, I had the same issue in our first game

Great AAR. One of the best I've read. Almost sad to see it end...

Sorry about the thread necro, but this is one of the best AARs I've ever read! Tense, funny, and with incredible sportsmanship shown by both sides. Also a great teaching tool. Thanks!
