Germany make three attacks in USSR while Japan attacks Vladivostok and Chunking.

The German attack odds from North to South as follows:
64:13 (+1 due to disorganized defender, USSR select LCT)
48:11 (+1 due to disorganization and blitz bonus if assault and USSR select LCT (my bad mistake. It is +2 if blitz))
34:2 (+1 due to blitz bonus, Germany select LCT)

Will USSR provide any shore bombardment support to the attacked cavalry?

(Ground support step is after shore bombardment.)

Germany flies a bomber on extended range that will add 2 in ground support to the second attack.

Will USSR provide any ground support to the first or third attack? (no bombers reach the second attack)

The Japanese HQ support was a failure.

So was the first attack with a die roll of one.

Which unit will the Soviet Union take as a loss?

The second attack was a success with the tiniest of margins.

Japan captures Vladivostok and converts the result so that the armour has to retreat.

Missing that fractional odds die roll was just mean spirited by the die.

China survives to fight another day.

The 4th Japanese cavalry division capture Chita and continue to advance halfway to Ulan-Ude. This raid has effectively cut the Trans-Siberian railway for some time. Japan occupy a lead mine in Eastern Siberia.

Italy air transport a German paratrooper from Malta to Benghazi.

----

von Leeb and von Bock reorganize two respective three land units. Germany now has all their three HQs disorganized. Fortunately Germany has the Finnish, Romanian and Yugoslavian HQs organized and ready to help the effort of liberating the world from evil.

I should probably try and end the turn on the basis that there is very little to lose in this game. But I will play the % and continue.

I try a port attack in Bardia as there is a TRS asking to be attacked. I get 2 surprise points but this is insufficient to do any damage so that was something of a waste of time.

The CW put some cruisers to sea.

The Chinese move a couple of units in the southeast and the Soviets do the same.
The CW take Porto and reshuffle a couple of units in Egypt.

With nothing to lose now in the game, the Soviets launch two attacks in Manchuria - sorry Manchukuo.

Weirdly the computer is suggesting a Japanese fighter can fly defensive ground support???

...anyway to the action

The Soviets have the choice in the east with a 2:1+1 and chose Blitzkrieg.

In a monumentally surprising development I throw a 1 and so lose a MOT.

The second attack is a 3:2+1 and I assume the Japanese will choose the Assault table. Fractional odds take the attack up to 2:1 and this time I throw a 10.

No declarations of war.

Axis go all land.

No Port Strikes. No naval air. No strategic bombing.

Germany make one ground strike in Ukraine.

Italy make a combined ground strike and artillery bombardment on the CW units in the Nile Delta. Will CW use any of their two fighters to intercept the Italian bomber? Italy can counterintercept with one fighter.
