I don't have time for a game, but I can take care of any loose ends...
How far away must you be to allow such ballistic drop on that shot, Lecivius? Also, unless that T-rex is walking backwards (can they?), you're way off the lead. [:-] You're going to wind up shooting it in the butt-and then all Hell is gonna break loose.
Naw, the drop is just right. You have to get behind the rib cage to assure penetration (have you SEEN those ribs in the local museum?[X(]). I'm thinking an SAP round from 1 klick. My shootin ain't what it used to be.

Does that guy have a bionic clavicle? I busted one of mine a lot easier than that.

Rifles that big usually have some form of blow back system that tremendously reduce the kick. But they still hurt some. [:(]

Last time I tried to blow back a mule it didn't reduce the kick much, in my estimation.

I get a kick out of armorers' sense of humor sometimes:

Never seen a picture. Pretty sure this is the type of shotgun Michener described in
Chesapeake.

A Sunday gun...
Amazingly these rifles were quite effective anti-tank weapons up until the early '40's. It was only in late 1941/early 1942 that the thickness of vehicle skins increased to the point where Bazookas and PIATs were necessary... [:)]

PIATs
I don't think the PIAT was ever necessary.[:-]

I’d like to apologize for not being more entertaining. I’ve been consumed with my garden, and no, there’s no carnivorous plants present that I know of. I’ve even had help, with a woman digging some trenches for me. I’ve been taking old soil and amending it extensively, with perlite, peat, vermiculite and horticultural charcoal, plus some special sauce of my own formulation. My plan this year is for a very pollinator friendly garden, for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The only edibles I’m growing are blackberries from mature plants I started one to two years ago plus some rather interesting raspberries I’ve started this year. The birds will take their share but not the squirrels, as I periodically spray the fruits with hot sauce which the squirrels cannot abide but which have no effect on the birds.
Anyways, most of what I’m growing are flowering perennials and annuals and I’ve only deployed about a third of what I’ve prepared to this point. I’m spending a lot of time out there when it’s not raining preparing ground and sowing seed and that should continue for the rest of this month if not a week or two more. Once that’s done it’s mostly just going out and watering and once a week fertilizing.
The only stuff that’s really up this year to this point are things I started last year or before that. I’ve got a fair amount of milkweed up for the Monarchs, they can lay eggs now. I’ve got some Royal Catchfly and Fire Pink up, though it’s not flowering yet, but the hummers will appreciate that. I’ve got a Red Buckeye tree that I planted last year but didn’t exactly thrive. It looks like it is taking off now though.
This game will pick up as the summer arrives if not before.

Damn, you're even anticipating my questions now! [:D]

Getting a start on level 1 fortifications is always a good idea, but you will need heavy equipment at some point.

Don't forget to camouflage against air recon. That will keep the detection level down.
And hope your neighbors don't have engineers.

Just as a thought, and because you already have them, but bees just LOVE raspberry bushes. I have a 10x20 plot in my back yard, when they bloom you can literally hear it hum. I have red & gold, so they bloom at different times. Bees are not as fond of blackberries, curiously.
