FatR told me the VP cost to take Magwe/Mandalay was worth my expense. In 1945 the japs get an auto victory if He can maintain a 2-1.

The burma bloodbath continues. FatR prepped Pagu w/ air and sea bombardment before his ground attack.

Alot of jap movement on the burma road . Seems FatR may try a counterattack into burma from China. So i figure to bomb his airfields w/ the 14th airforce before they arrive.

This was a blow out. FatR has saved the day at Rangoon. Oddly, these allied troops did not retreat up the main road to toung gou but instead retreated into the woods to the NE of Rangoon, which is a strange blessing.

I decided I needed a night bombing campaign to harass the 150 ftrs fatr placed at Rangoon.

When a LCU retreats in a two day turn the attacking airpower on ground support follow the retreated units next day to the new location. In this case the fighter escort did not go w/ the bombers which ran into a p47 cap trap. A blessing.

I like these african divisions. They have 43 inf w/ 75 anti armor. I wanted to give them some experience so I sent them after the burma army alone. They killed 5 jap units!

This is a current look at the burma situation. I feel heavy pressure from the south and a buildup to the east. I sauspect FatR wants a decisive battle to destroy the 14th army. Similar to a fleet in being. Hmm, where should I fight, or should i retreat in to the jungle from where I came?.

I have not handled the defeat of his central burma army well. he probably will get about 40000 troops out. I had a chance to surround the army in magwe before I attacked, but I did not wait. I had a chance to send the 1st marines to rangoon, but sent them to tounggoo instead and lost the rangoon battle. These units retreated to the white X.

I was confused about this jap attack. I thought FatR would kick me off this road to prome. Maybe he has a supply issue. I am night bombing rangoon AF every night. Could be the heavy weapons of the Coast AA unit had an effect. I always liked the ma duce.

I lost a reinforcing CVE w/ 2 air units on it today. I see my ASW on my cve tfs is too weak. I have lost about 10 CVE so far. That is a 200 plane cap TF.

Feb 44. Hi guys . I am giving the good fight but cant seem to win for trying. This look at the VP level demonstrates the tall level of play I must make to even pull out a draw. If I go into 45 w/ a 2-1 ratio of jap to allied FatR will get a decisive victory. The china expeditionary force is on the move into burma to trap the 14th army.

Frankly, I never look at the VP totals in my game. The only real question is are you having fun? [;)]
