Wow...suicide bomber kitties.......that weapons system has got to have the highest accidental death rate in history!

Here, kitty kitty ki.....KABLOOM! [:D]

I think the Russains tried this with dogs. They strapped anti tank mines to them and trained them to run under tanks. The problem was that they could not tell an enemy tank from a friendly one.

Sure. I assume you never heard of the Romans using Pigs as a type of fire bomb? They used to coat them in a tar based substance...herd them towards the enemy......light the Ronson....and RUN.

They caused chaos when used.......

I was never that fussed about the Romans when I started my Archaeology degree. Every year that has gone by since then has led me to respect and admire them more and more (mot related to the fire pigs I must add!)

Well, good news and bad news (for me and mine, anyway):

Boss came to me and said they were shortstaffed after some strange (and unsettling) events, and asked me to do some more work: did i want to work Mondays again, or just do more work per day. i opted for Mondays - better pay, and i figured i was less likely to be as tired at the end of the day and thus less likely to make a mistake.

So, more money, but less time... Supposedly this goes back to "normal" in July. Of course, i haven't been getting most of the time off anyway due to various "emergencies"...

And of course after that, the staff that assigns work came later to me and asked me to do some extra cases anyway...[8|][:'(]

Anyway, my plan to have NAKED ANIMAL Contests on Monday has been effectively scuttled. C'est la vie...

Does anyone here have any experience with software to rip MP3 files from CDs?

i had tried Blaze Medio Pro (trial version) but i am a bit leary about buying software with downloads only (and no copy on CD). i may resort to this if all else fails.

i dug out a copy of Canon ejay i had purchased a couple years ago - it didn't work at all, and they no longer support the software.

So i went out and bought Magix MP3 Maker 10 Deluxe - and it is extremely complicated and doesn't work too well. i can't seem to get it to get it to recognize any names (album name, track names, etc.) which would mean i would have to retype EVERY track name on any albums... i have tried their support site (no help), so wrote them an e-mail. They said they would get back to me in maybe 8 days...

Any thoughts on how i can get this to work correctly? Or any recommendations on what software is decent?

Wellllll, you could just use Windows Media Player to rip the CDs and then find a WMA -> MP3 converter. For that matter, why do they need to be MP3? Serious question, whatever it is that you want to do with them may not require they be MP3.

But a Google search on "MP3 converter" spews out lots of possibilities. Up there at the top is: http://www.wma-mp3.com/ I haven't tried it but it could be a place to start.

Haven't played it that much either; not too fond of the barbarian horde concept, but the Eastern Empire has a coolness of its own. Plus it's fun to try to basically fight EVERYBODY at the same time...

And I might be a Spammer, but at least I'm not envious of one...[:'(]

Well, i am just now starting to experiment with this, however, many CD players (i.e., the one in my car, the one on my stereo) now will play MP3 files on a CD - not one says anything about being able to play WMA files. i don't have anything like a portable player like an iPOD, but again, most of them talk about MP3. Maybe they will play WMA files, but again, maybe not. i figured that MP3 might be the most universally accepted format between devices.

So, does anyone have any practical experience with this kind of software (or devices)??[&:]
