I do have 3rd generation CV capable aircraft arriving in October 1943 in the Corsair F4U-1A. I will have to bide my time a bit to
get enough to make a difference and try and stay out of his way.

They were flying from a level 3 airfield, that is now a level 4, so they will carry 6 bombs tomorrow

No bombers flew in Burma

Nice work on those DDs! 3 seen to be sunk, Nowaki a likely sinking unless Tokitsukaze is escorting it away to Truk. Japan never has enough DDs so that series of strikes had to sting. He will be much more reluctant to base them forward now.

Yes, I like to sink any Japanese ship and DDs are near the top.

This was unexpected:

Tjilatjap is occupied by the Allies

I did not really expect him to completely abandon a valuable base like Tjilatjap
I have units in strat mode and they will move there this turn to start the build up
There are mines there that will need to be cleared as soon as I can get some
fighter cover.

I destroyed a small unit fleeing NW of Semarang.

Bombs fell in a number of places, Jaluit, Batavia, and Mandalay.

A Naval Bombardment of Jaluit scored some, more Naval Bombardments to follow.

Not a lot happened today, I am resting most of my Heavy bombers, they need it, also some of my fighter squadrons.

At sea we swept 94 more mines at Tjilatjap, and the minefield symbol is gone.

I lost 5 thunderbolts( 4 air-2-air and 1 lops) and he lost 8 Franks( 7 air-2-air and 1 ops )

My B-17s bombed doing some damage and losing no aircraft.

He did bomb one of my Chinese units in the clear terrain near Magwe, he did some damage
mostly disabled elements and lost 6 Helens to flak and 1 to ops. I do have the 2nd West African AA Regiment
in that hex with the 86th Chinese Corps.

No opposition to sweeps over Truk so I will try sending all my B-24s in the daylight to bomb the airfield
recon shows about 100 fighters there. I have 96 B-24 ordered to strike.
