I am most disturbed by the fact that my Zero's didn't get any hits.

I plan to capture the non-Jap bases near Davao eventually but I thought I'd use some of my single-engine bombers to soften up the
opposition first. Plus, I gotta come up w/ some troops to do the job. Probably after Manila. Wait, Manila, Davao, Java, and THEN
Singapore? I gotta think about the order some more.

I gotta find out who that Kate pilot is and promote him. Luckiest Kate pilot in the fleet.

This Allied attack didn't turn out all that well for Jim. He was expecting higher odds maybe.

And here's the combat report.

We've got a situation developing here near Nauru Island. Jim is trying to sneak a BB TF group past my shipping lanes headed I guess,
for Sydney or somewhere. I've got a major CV group nearby ready to try to sink some of that group so we may have some drama first
thing tomorrow.

I'm going to send another sub to Diego Garcia because the hunting opportunities are just so good. The trip there from where he is, near
Oosthaven, to Diego Garcia will take about 16 days in transit.

TF 23 is a BB-based surface force all set to bombard Darwin. It's current speed will put it at Darwin sometime tonight I'm guessing.

A little recon has revealed that there are something like 39 Allied ships parked in the port at Brisbane. So my carrier planes are
switching from Naval to Port and may be spending some time off-shore from Brisbane hitting the port a couple of times. I may need to
send some strong surface forces down here to........no wait, Brisbane has mines......can't do any naval bombarding yet.

I flew some Bettys down to Mili so as to be in range of the Allied TF nearest Nauru. Jim is probably going to run his TF right up into the
port of Nauru and maybe even Ocean Island so I disbanded all the TF's at Nauru and Ocean Island to preserve their position and maybe
protect them a bit more. I've heard that if the TF is disbanded it's off limits to attack or something like that.

I'm trying to land some more people into Port Moresby and Jim is giving me a hard row to hoe. I think one of these ships sinks later.
