And there were the usual attacks at Manila:

And then there was an attack on Georgetown:

And then this attack on Medan happened:

And the softening up continues north of Davao:

I finally decided to go after Ketapang and Jim had evacuated the base before I got there I think.

Here's how it went on the ground at Manila:

And then we had some ground combat just north of Oosthaven

And then we had the usual Allied ground bombardment at Port Moresby. My boys are out of supplies again.

And then Jim attacks me at Kluong. He was expecting higher odds I guess.

And here's the combat report:

Here's the situation near Tarawa. Jim has the BB-heavy group streaming east skipping the harrassment of Nauru or Ocean Island and
he's so far south my Betty's probably won't reach him and I'll have to go to full speed to catch up to him.

This is me turning off the refinery at Palembang. Fuel is starting to pile up and I'm finding that I can fuel my entire fleet from Palley if
only I can move the fuel outta there. I'm moving some to Cam Ranh Bay and there's a lot more to move yet. I'd really rather move oil to
the home islands than fuel because you can get more than one gallon of fuel from each gallon of oil. The units might have to change but
the principle is the same. I get more bang for my buck w/ oil than with fuel.

I did a cut and paste of the list of all bases screen with various goodies sorted to the top and here's where I should go for goodies:

This is how busy Bubble Drop is these days:

TF 23 is all set to bombard Darwin but I checked out the base and there's only a few planes there and it's not much of a threat to my
operations and I'm wondering if I ought to use TF 23 to do naval bombardments of Port Moresby instead. I'd need an AO to get TF 23
to Port Moresby and I don't think one is nearby. I'll have to scrape one up and send it to Babar as the first stage of the new operation.

I've got a couple of subs moving back and forth just offshore of SFO and every once in a while I get a juicy target but sometimes Jim
sorties a DD or some other threat to my subs and I usually just let them pass but I'm thinking I ought to try to put a torp in them too.

I've got TF 704 all set to do some of the first naval bombardments of Manila so far. I've got only one DMS ship attached to the TF so I'm
thinking somebody is going to hit a mine, either at Bataan or at Manila. We'll see. And the defensive guns might just hurt my DMS boat
so I'm thinking there's a lot that can go wrong on this mission. Oh, and yes the bombardment numbers are wrong and I fixed them later.

Just after I invaded Ketapang these Allied ships showed up on the map and I'm thinking I might be able to get a DD into the path of that
Allied TF and maybe get a hit or two on them. There's a CA w/ escorts at Oosthaven that I can send as well. Maybe the days of these
Allied ships are numbered. Maybe not. We'll see.

TF 198 was unloading a large 23K slug of supplies on Bubble Drop but I see that location is already over 100K in supplies and Truk is
lower so I'm going to send the TF to Truk instead to try to keep the level of supplies roughly equal at the two hubs.

TF 309 is a PB acting as one of my picket ships, of which you can see 5 in this picture. I am leaning toward using subs more than PB's
if only because there's a chance of fighting back w/ a sub whereas a PB would probably get some damage in a knife-fight with an AK.
The arrangement is supposed to start the real work after there's a contact. I would then respond with a surface element or a carrier or
both. It's been working pretty good so far so I'm not complaining. I can't be everywhere at once and have only limited assets compared
to the Allies so I'm trying to make them multi-task and serve more than one function everywhere I can.
