Final Results of the naval combat.

Facing desperation in Russia the last remaining bomber makes the run of his life.

This was definitely a good bombing turn for the Allies.

The only 2 Allied combats this impulse. Forgot to shoot the rolls. Rolled a 6 Europe and a 17 in N. Africa. Lost an american div in africa.

AXIS #6 JUL/AUG 43

Three land actions.

German Motorised Engineers occupy Sukumi and destroy the remnants of the Black Sea fleet.

Rommel's Army Group occupies Penza and environs, destroying four grounded Soviet air units.

First attack is towards Gorki.

Near Penza part of a large encircled Soviet army is destroyed.

Japanese forces storm Lanchow.

Isolated communists are destroyed in the Kansu mountains by Yamamoto's assault. No retreat is available for 5 Garr.

Communist resistance seems almost broken. They retain a single city.

But there have been no counter attacks yet against the Allied incursion in the Netherlands.

Eastern Front. OKH's July offensive has broken the Soviet armies of Zhukov and Rokossovsky between the Oka and the Volga. A spectacular success. But the factories are way out east. They can hold the north perhaps through the winter and may regroup armies to the interior.

Seeing a strong German panzer corp racing to the western front, CW tank busters take to the air in an attempt to halt its advance. Italian fighters try to intercept but the combat is nothing but a clear and the tank busters do their job and disrupt the Armor.

Allied forces have targeted the only Axis HQ in the area for land combat. Both sides rush bombers with escorts to the area. Both sides get one bomber thru.

Both attacks were successful. Axis HQ was only shattered though and the Allies were unable to take advantage of the breakthrough.
The allies continue to advance swiftly thru N. Africa.

AXIS #8 JUL/AUG 43

Germany and Japan combined, Italy land.

The German fleet steams out to the Baltic Sea.

U-boats find in North Atlantic (3&10).

The u-boats in combat are half-aborted.

They sink 2 CW cps, and abort another.

They find again (3&7), and inflict more damage to CW production.

With the sea area cleared of convoys, the subs hide for R3.

Other searches in the Norwegian Sea and the Marianas fail.

Meanwhile the situation in Holland is unfortunate. Axis needs reinforcements.
