What happened to the fan? Had it become disillusioned with its idol and quit in disgust? And what size was the fan to fit inside a PC case...?

Well, we don't know for certain. Fans are so easily replacable that we didn't bother diagnosing it, but I suspect it has an extremely unpleasant wife who broke one of its balls.

Shoot, don't people PAY to vote on American Idol (900 telephone number)... as opposed to the typical $20 bribe they get for voting in an presidential (or other) election.
