SCOLDGAMER as allies defeated Brian72 in '39 Scenario. Brian72 resigned on turn 87.
Yes you are correct. I reported your win earlier on page 48. Perhaps I posted your win incorrectly?

Beriand (allies) lost to DmitryN (axis). Early Sealion, China and India to be dead winter 1942/43, Russia could survive till summer 1943. But anyway interesting game. Nice fleet battle around UK

The main ones are:
No Diplo vs Majors
No Barbarossa before 1941
No Diplo vs Bulgaria
Others may be agreed between the players. A common one at the moment is no dodgy Allied attack on Japan to rob it of all its Special Forces.

Hi,
I would like to play a game, but not an experienced player. 5-6 games total. Would be great to command the allied side.
Please respond to this if interested.
Thanks,

New ELO game started:
Bavre (Axis) v EarlyDoors (Allies)
Game ended in March 1943 when Allies resigned after USSR surrender
As you can see from the losses Bavre totally outplayed me smashing all before him with hardly any losses
He had all 3 Russian Capitals for a few months, nonetheless I was surprised USSR surrendered as it was on 60% National Morale and more than 34 units. Perhaps it was the Japanese liberation of Bangkok (Thailand) same turn that triggered the surrender.
Anyway, his masterful use of airforce and concentration on technical quality is food for thought. Also this guy knows how to defend against invasion!!
Strategically it was the management of US and USSR mobilisation that was a game changer.
Very Well Played

As all games with Fanfir it was lost from the beginning. Technically I did not resigned yet but after summer 1942 unexpected successful Sealion – no single chance to resist. Will write something in detail later

Forgot to post. Last week 3 games started. 1. SColdgamer (allies) against DmitryN (axis) 2-3 DaviDaily and Pekkavilamoura both axis against DmitryN (allies). All of this have the same no chances against me from the beginning as I against Fanfir. Really don’t know why beginers like to play as Axis against experienced allies player. No chances even to learn something, as everything ends in France.

I guess for games against Fanfir we should have some specific rating like "how could Allies keep Washington" or something like this

Yes a very enjoyable game, well done Pete. Japan had done extremely well capturing China and the US islands but once Germany surrendered May or June 46? Too much for the Japanese to hold the world at bay

Fanfir (axis) won against DmitryN (allies)
I finally decided to stop this☺ 2 things should be said about this game.
1. Strategy of UK early attack on Japan could be effectively answered (if you are Fanfir ofc). He was prepared and waited my landing. Thus, he could prevent taking some islands where Japanese should be placed and finally retook all the islands I initially occupied. However I think that even in this case (of prepared and well executed counter-play) “first Jap attack” strategy is quite effective. By preparing troops on islands Japan was not able for strong push in China. In our previous game with Fanfir he could kill China in 1941 or beginning 42 and in this game China could clearly survive at least till spring 1943.
Japan also lost couple of Carriers and other ships from UK attack. So no Pearl Harbour a lot of additional ships for US. Big Jap loses in MPPS. Late and not so effective attack on DEI etc. (actually DEI was taken by Germans). Late attack everywhere, and even in 1942 some things like Brunei (important moneywise) were still in allies hands
So if it was not Fanfir Pacific front would be a big problem for Axis. And even in his case this front looked quite good fall 1942.
2. I never could understand how Fanfir make such strikes by his units. Each strike twice stronger than normal. Once in say summer 1940 he just shot China HQ in good supply from 10 to 5 just by 2 shoots of one carrier (!!!how?). However this game was made not only by better tactic but also by strategy.
I could effectively hold some of fronts. India fought against Germans/Italians with high cost for them, Persia changed hands few times, Stalingrad and Moscow were still in Russian hands fall 1942. Big landing of Japan troops in Australia and New Zealand were mainly surrounded and in my opinion doomed in few turns, Jap landing on Hawaii was also killed.
However Fanfir made one brilliant strategic move, which left me no chance. First he unexpectedly took South Africa, than landed to Australia with big army and forced UK to send fast everything to Australia. In summer 1942 I did not expect Sealion at all, as axis progress in Russia was not really good. But Fanfir went Sealion and could effectively take England in few turns which decided game finally (it was decided from the beginning but some hope remained till fall of England).
Big German investments somewhere outside Russia is always risky strategy. Fanfir spent tons of money on German fleet (including sub and ampth transport research), he made costly German attack on India, he even invested in Peru to join axis. All of this affected Russian front giving me time. In this circumstances if I just left few additional ships and just 2-3 additional units in the UK, his landing could be quite problematic (ports blocked) and give Russia and US more time. But I did not☺

Thanks for the summary Dmitry. Sounds like an awesome game between two great players.
Now that I'm aware of the possibility of a "Sneak Japan Attack", I'm not so concerned about an early UK DoW on Japan. I still think the developers should make some adjustments to make the situation more realistic. But I would play without restricting UK from an early attack.
In the past I've killed Chinese HQs with lucky air strikes. They can be pretty vulnerable.
Considering Fanfir's investment in amph technology, he must have planned Sealion from the start. Cool. All his other actions were setting up England for the death blow. What great strategy!
Just wondering, did UK surrender? I was thinking, that's a lot of coastline for the Axis to defend especially with Russia still strong in the game. If UK didn't surrender, they still got a lot of units and a strong navy. Then with USA surging. And Russia pounding at the gates. Wow, that would be an interesting battle.

UK did not surrender, but its morale was low, vast part of UK fleet was dead and its income reduced to about 110 mpps per turn. Russia was anyway doomed. It could resist till summer-autumn 1943 but not longer. US was forced to invest in fleet as it was strong Germany-Italy fleet with carrier and a lot of 3 level german subs (some of them 12-13 strength). So no way US could save Russia with UK in german hands. Germany had all the middle east including Saudi, south India and DEI in its hands, so incomes were aboot 1000 even higher than US at that moment. Germany had quite a small amount of land units though (around 80) but strong ones with heavy tanks etc. Best case scenario was that US till summer 1943 could save India, kill everybody in Australia and liberate DEI. In best case. But to that moment both Russia and China would be dead. So if we play till the end I guess the end would be german troops in Washington in 1944-1945.
